I don't feel 100%.it's hard to tell whether it's crohns or minus gallbladder related.I'm being more than usually diet aware,so I don't know what else I can do.But there's nothing wrong with my brain........yet.

I said to my friend of 40+ years "we'll be best friends until we're old and senile...........then we'll be NEW best friends.:lol2:

love the friend one, guess that could well be if we do go senile.. im probably not that far off if truth be known

Good morning all :) looks like we will be shifting house and down sizing to a smaller house that's easier for me to manage. Also cheaper if I can't work full time.

Morning Kirsty, hope u are good today hun xx so a move is in the air maybe,a smaller home is easier to manage, mine is like a shoe box, but easy to deal with lol..

Good morning all :) looks like we will be shifting house and down sizing to a smaller house that's easier for me to manage. Also cheaper if I can't work full time.

Good idea Kirsty,it's very stressful but it will be worth it. Make lists and DELEGATE.
Have you told the cats, especially wandering Wolfie ???

Wolf will love it as it's a small village in the country. He used to hang out with the cows when we lived in Whakamarama. He will be able to do that again, or he could head to the beach and sand dunes.
I'd also be able to get a dog too.
I have a very strong work ethic and struggle to come to terms with the fact that I'm 44 and I shouldn't work full time any more. But it's my reality.

Sandy !!!!!where are you ???:confused2::::ghug:

Here I am! Yesterday just got extraordinarily busy (between visiting the porcelain throne.) I don't know where the day before went. It's just lost.

Sorry I missed your anniversary too Carol! And I'm sorry you weren't feeling well. Too much of that going on. Trysha, hang in there! Kirsty, I wish we could average your hypos with my hypers. I started my second add on injection for diabetes and believe it is going to be better tolerated than the last.

In the mean time, I'll just win and come back later where I'm going to win the grand prize of a maid/cook and/or gardener, as well as a chauffeur for everyone who wants one on this forum thread.

Hey Sandy, nice to see you back .missed you... some days just vanish into the ether, sorry you have been married to your loo for a while :frown:
hope your feeling better now or at least v, soon :rosette2:

Aw kirsty that sounds a nice place to be , ye kitty's will love it hun.. i know it's hard to wind down to taking things easier when your used to being busy, and even more so when your still pretty young, but remember its best for your health hun, n hopefuly you will be better for it.. xx

Afternoon all, Trysha I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you but I'm sure that it will all go well and I hope that you will be feeling better soon. Carol, I'm sorry you're not feeling 100%; I truly hope that things get easier for you. Kirsty I wish that you didn't have the hypos, and the health issues that you have going on right now, but the move may make things easier and the ability to relax may make you feel a bit better quicker and not working full time is not the end of the world at any age - you do what you need to in order to take the best care of you. Sandy, not sure what is causing your prolonged and many visits to the porcelain palace but here's hoping that it "bugs out" and gives you peace. Mandy, may your results be good ones. Shanen, how is work going and how are you feeling? Trev, how you doing? Doug how's the cooking going and how are you feeling? Robert and Dave where are you guys and what's up? Have a good weekend everyone. Going to go finish cleaning up my yard - cut down another tree and have to clean up the branches, mowed the lawn and it would be a shame to leave all that mess on my nice short grass. Talk to you all later! :thumright::ysmile:

hi grummpy, thanks for the support, you have been a busy boy.. dont over do it now tho. you take care and keep well :)

Hi all, I'm having trouble with my wifi, can't use it, have just put my packet data on my fone to get on here lol hope it sorts it self out...keep well folks x

hi Sandy, the season has only just started and was crap so far. so its back to getting the kitchen ready for the tiler. meanwhile I will take back my win.

I got the win, the glucose monitor has been attached to me for the week. It's tiny and my Humira jabs hurt more than this thing did. Already had a hypo at 2.8 with it on this morning. I did a nice long walk this avo too. Yay time for my win

hi kirsty, hope you are ok n enjoyed your walk hun,, will this monitor help to settle the hypos with the info i assume it collects ?
keep well hun :rosette1:

Now I'm off to have a shower, warm like summer rain,
And when I get my PJs on,I'll be sitting down again.

Winning

Hi Mandy yes it should help them see daily patterns, and hopefully help to pinpoint why I'm having soo many hypos when I shouldn't be.
Hey Carol how are you?

hi kirsty, hopefully then they can get your hypo's under control hun n you will be much better, i pray that will be the case

Shanen, how is work going and how are you feeling? QUOTE]

My response is not fit for public. Overtime and stress are creating Crohn's issues again so something will have to be figured out soon.

For now, I'm winning and I'll take it.

Here for just a brief win. I here you Shanen. Hopefully, tomorrow is a better day. I know i plan on talking all your ears off then so you don't have time to feel poorly. (Hugs Robert aka Bobby boy.)

hi Shanen, aw sorry your having a rough time hun, hope things improve quickly for you, :rosette2:
do you have to do the overtime one, if you dont need the extra cash can you not tell them to stick o/time up their backside, im sure you could get out of o/time on medical reasons if need be..not having to work so many hours may help the stress levels hun..
hope things get better soon :hug:

hi Sandy, been missing you !! hope i dont miss out on your talking our ears off, as i start my new job tomoz( my time anyhow lol,,) i do get confused .com with all these various time zones :frown:
hope your ok hun, take care :rosette2:

Don't worry Mandy, I'll still talk your ears off. Good luck at your new job.
3:00 in the am here and the insomnia has been visiting. But I think I'll be able to sleep now so I'll talk at all of you when I wake up.:dance::dance:

Thanks for the thoughts Mandy! O/T is just what has to happen to keep pace with the additional volume of business my company is doing. Cash is always nice, especially with Crohn's medical bills but my children are older and on their own now so that's not so much a priority for me. It's just frustrating dealing with new people who think they know better and "management" who has no idea of the work involved. It's typical corporate mentatlity.

Hope it's a good day for all. Sandy, Aura, Carol...take care and hope things improve for you soon. :ghug:

Hi Shanen, ok ye i understand on the money one for sure, tho i dont have that to deal with with our NHS system, i do feel for you all over there having to pay out for insurance n stuff, must be pretty hard to manage sometimes, money being one of the reasons iv changed job, plus the horrid boss thing ... oh work life sure can get in the way of having a life
i can only suggest then to try n take it as easy as you can hun, i had to slow down at work, they dint like it but hey i can only do what i can do, mind you thats was a darn site more than some who didn't have any illness :ymad:...
you take care hun n dont be harrassed into to much o/time, we want you to keep well..:kiss:

Hi all, just to say im bowing out for now..
going for a nice relaxing soak in the bath then an early night, up at 5.30 am for new job start, as i need 3week to come round of a morning these days :ylol2:
hope you are all good n take care see you soon , (probably this time tomoz )keep  ing ...

G'night sweet Mandy, rest well. I'm still going to talk your ear off (and everyone else's) while you sleep. Here's my first win for today. Hope everyone's day is at least a little better today.

hi Sandy, aw thank you hun,, last call b4 bed just got out of the bath n saw you were here, couldnt go without a shout to you hun,, keep well n bend their ears good.. keep well my friend :rosette2:
back to you winning.....

Oh oh! I've gotten out of the habit of talking everyone's ears off (at least quite as much) and forgot to do so more today, so I might make up for it now.
Have a great first day of work MandyK, from your friend SandyK.
Trysha, hang in there friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers. If you change your mind, can you move your surgery date up? How goes the testing and hypos Kirsty? I get to have my second injection of the new diabetes med tomorrow (weekly occurrence for this particular med) to hopefully get my levels down. My A1C was 7.9 ("normal" people are between 4 and 5.6, but when did I ever claim to be normal, he he?)
Carol, are you able to eat better, I hope? When I had my gallbladder surgery I was able to eat better after than before, so I'm betting yours is more of an IBD problem, darn it all.
Shanen, and Grumpy (and all of you who work in the corporate office) all I can say is I still have nightmares from my days there. Shudder. It's enough to cause an IBD.
Dave, I hope you come back to transport all of us to the Christmas party this year. Trev, I'll bet your kitchen is fantabulous, even if the whitebaiting wasn't. Hope you are well. Robert, well, just Robert, Robert, Robert. Om3ga, where are you? We miss you!

Hi winning, I've just come back from the ballet in Palmerston North. Hypos are still daily. Blood sugars seem to range from 2.9 to 11 and I can drop from 11 to 2.9 in one hour. Go figure? Anyway just taking pills then bed for me. Big hugs to you all!

Winning for sure.......

Hope your first day at your new job went OK ,Mad Mandy.

Kirsty, were you auditioning for the ballet?
Trysha, are your visitors still with you ?

Morning all, just dropping in for a quick win. Still training my new newbie but she is soooooo much better than my last one. Training is a pleasure. Nice to read that you are all doing a bit better. Mandy - that's a busy girl.....
Winning for now have a great day all :ghug:

Kirsty, were you auditioning for the ballet?

My visitors returned to England at the weekend
So now the apartment is neat and back to normal
Did four machine loads of washing and four driers, everything non iron
But a bit wearing.
You all know the drill I'm sure....blankets,sheets towels etc etc all done folded and put away till next time
While they were here I was offered an early date for surgery but turned it down since I did not want the kids to know anything about it...spoil their hols!
The surgeon was concerned about the bleeding but it stopped ok.
So the dreaded date is September 29th, have to be there by 6am
Lots of pain right now but acupuncture definitely helps, also yesterday the acupuncturist/physio put a warm polished stone on my abdomen, very soothing and I had a bit better night and was able to sleep a bit more......the night before ...awake all night with pain.
Today will be a better day...
I think I was scheduled to have the Christmas party at my place and you can
all see the illuminated Niagara Falls and the picturesque street decorations
Too cold for ice cream but they do have hot apple cider.....pure Apple no alcohol
Looking forward to it all
For now I am
Winning.........

Thanks for the update Trysha.I knew your Op.was due after your visitors left.but I didn't want to remind you. (as if you needed it) Don't worry about the Christmas do.You did it last year. We'll go to Mad Mandys in Manchester.I'm sure it'll be Merry.I would have it here, but I don't do Christmas at all,so you'd all be miserable.
Take care of yourself.x

hi all , ye really good day at new job , thanks to all for your best wishes, luck n support,, much appreciated . was told i'd done a good job , not had that said in 11yrs at last place,so
think im on a winner yeah !!!
Carol yep xmas at mad mandys is a date, planning on loads of fun...:)

hope today was a good one n tomorrow is even better, you all take care my friends

Christmas at mad Mandy's in Manchester sounds absolutely great. (I too was afraid that it was too much for Trysha this year.) I'm so glad you had some positive feedback Mandy, that is terrible that you haven't had any in so long. A little praise can produce a lot of results, something your former employer either forgot or never learned. I'll be back after a little massage to get rid of some little spasms going on. (not a new thing, had them since my little stroke many years ago.)
At any rate, massage = winning!

enjoy sandy, glad your coming for xmas cant wait , that goes for all btw :ghug:

Happy to hear your first day went well Mandy, long may it continue.
Trysha glad you are doing well and hope things are smooth for you until the needed surgery. Please take care in the meantime. Grumpy - it's got to be a good feeling having a trainee working out. Takes a bit of the pressure off. Carol and Sandy - keep maintaining your health and working on feeling better. It's always such a struggle.

Boys - It's safe to show yourself. We'll let you have a word now and again.

Maybe. :ack:

Then again, maybe not. :dance::rof:

hi all. Trysha looks like we are having surgery same day, same time, different place. Mandy so pleased things are working out on the job front. when did you become Mad Mandy? did I miss something?

winning

Good idea Trev.....somewhere warm in mid winter
What a coincidence...surgery on the same day
Hope that spells success for us both
Winning........

Somewhere warm does sound nice for Christmas this year, but I would still love to see Niagara Falls frozen with the lights next winter. It sounds so pretty. By then everyone is going to be feeling well.

Great idea, someplace warm in winter gets my vote too.

Trev, take care of yourself. I'm wishing you healing thoughts as well.

hi Shanen , it will be summer at xmas. who would spend xmas at the beach in winter?

Winter in Minnesota is picture perfect. For a couple of days and then it gets really cold. For months. I'll spend Xmas at the beach anytime. :ysmile:

Did I miss anything? ............................................ Thought not! Where's the Christmas party this year and who is doing all the work?

Yes, you missed something Robert, us! It seems that the party this year is to be at the beach, and i think we should have it catered so no work will be involved, with proceeds from your smoke shop. We'll have a grand party!

Hows about we charter a cruise ship ???

Then we don't have to lift a finger and can be waited on hand and foot.
With top rate medics and chefs of course.
Feel free to add your own needs and ideas.......now that's what I call winning !!!

Hi Robert,good to see you

I'm liking the sounds of this year's Christmas party more and more. A cruise sounds great. Does everyone age? It makes me think of Dee (Spinnychick) for you who have been around this thread for awhile. I wonder how she is. And Sanni.
How are the rest of you today?
