Winning for sure.......

Hope your first day at your new job went OK ,Mad Mandy.

Kirsty, were you auditioning for the ballet?
Trysha, are your visitors still with you ?

My visitors returned to England at the weekend
So now the apartment is neat and back to normal
Did four machine loads of washing and four driers, everything non iron
But a bit wearing.
You all know the drill I'm sure....blankets,sheets towels etc etc all done folded and put away till next time
While they were here I was offered an early date for surgery but turned it down since I did not want the kids to know anything about it...spoil their hols!
The surgeon was concerned about the bleeding but it stopped ok.
So the dreaded date is September 29th, have to be there by 6am
Lots of pain right now but acupuncture definitely helps, also yesterday the acupuncturist/physio put a warm polished stone on my abdomen, very soothing and I had a bit better night and was able to sleep a bit more......the night before ...awake all night with pain.
Today will be a better day...
I think I was scheduled to have the Christmas party at my place and you can
all see the illuminated Niagara Falls and the picturesque street decorations
Too cold for ice cream but they do have hot apple cider.....pure Apple no alcohol
Looking forward to it all
For now I am
Winning.........

Thanks for the update Trysha.I knew your Op.was due after your visitors left.but I didn't want to remind you. (as if you needed it) Don't worry about the Christmas do.You did it last year. We'll go to Mad Mandys in Manchester.I'm sure it'll be Merry.I would have it here, but I don't do Christmas at all,so you'd all be miserable.
Take care of yourself.x

hi all , ye really good day at new job , thanks to all for your best wishes, luck n support,, much appreciated . was told i'd done a good job , not had that said in 11yrs at last place,so
think im on a winner yeah !!!
Carol yep xmas at mad mandys is a date, planning on loads of fun...:)

hope today was a good one n tomorrow is even better, you all take care my friends

Christmas at mad Mandy's in Manchester sounds absolutely great. (I too was afraid that it was too much for Trysha this year.) I'm so glad you had some positive feedback Mandy, that is terrible that you haven't had any in so long. A little praise can produce a lot of results, something your former employer either forgot or never learned. I'll be back after a little massage to get rid of some little spasms going on. (not a new thing, had them since my little stroke many years ago.)
At any rate, massage = winning!

enjoy sandy, glad your coming for xmas cant wait , that goes for all btw :ghug:

Happy to hear your first day went well Mandy, long may it continue.
Trysha glad you are doing well and hope things are smooth for you until the needed surgery. Please take care in the meantime. Grumpy - it's got to be a good feeling having a trainee working out. Takes a bit of the pressure off. Carol and Sandy - keep maintaining your health and working on feeling better. It's always such a struggle.

Boys - It's safe to show yourself. We'll let you have a word now and again.

Maybe. :ack:

Then again, maybe not. :dance::rof:

hi all. Trysha looks like we are having surgery same day, same time, different place. Mandy so pleased things are working out on the job front. when did you become Mad Mandy? did I miss something?

winning

Good idea Trev.....somewhere warm in mid winter
What a coincidence...surgery on the same day
Hope that spells success for us both
Winning........

Somewhere warm does sound nice for Christmas this year, but I would still love to see Niagara Falls frozen with the lights next winter. It sounds so pretty. By then everyone is going to be feeling well.

Great idea, someplace warm in winter gets my vote too.

Trev, take care of yourself. I'm wishing you healing thoughts as well.

hi Shanen , it will be summer at xmas. who would spend xmas at the beach in winter?

Winter in Minnesota is picture perfect. For a couple of days and then it gets really cold. For months. I'll spend Xmas at the beach anytime. :ysmile:

Did I miss anything? ............................................ Thought not! Where's the Christmas party this year and who is doing all the work?

Yes, you missed something Robert, us! It seems that the party this year is to be at the beach, and i think we should have it catered so no work will be involved, with proceeds from your smoke shop. We'll have a grand party!

Hows about we charter a cruise ship ???

Then we don't have to lift a finger and can be waited on hand and foot.
With top rate medics and chefs of course.
Feel free to add your own needs and ideas.......now that's what I call winning !!!

Hi Robert,good to see you

I'm liking the sounds of this year's Christmas party more and more. A cruise sounds great. Does everyone age? It makes me think of Dee (Spinnychick) for you who have been around this thread for awhile. I wonder how she is. And Sanni.
How are the rest of you today?

You'll be fine Trysha.Don't forget our Xmas do's are make believe. But if you're worried we will go somewhere calm.Come to think of it,I would like to be able to see the coastline,or I will spend the whole trip in a lifeboat ,wearing a life jacket and a sou'wester and an aqualung.:rof::rof::rof:

I can offer my place, warm but a little rainy... for Christmas that is. Last year was lovely. Wishing you all a lovely day and thinking happy thoughts for all for the weekend. Hi Robert long time no read. Winning

Well,I don't know whether to laugh or cry !!!!

My hubby has bought me a bike.He has one, and goes out regularly while I catch up with housework.I'm a walker. But being Alfie-less now, walking is not as much fun as it was.So I will have to bite the bullet and give cycling a go.It's many years since I was on a bike, but they say you never forget. It has a basket for my first aid kit.hahaha

I hope you enjoy your bike Carol. It sounds like fun. I just recently acquired a used but very good quality bike, but have to get the tires fixed and a little "tune up" before I use it. Maybe after I will pedal over your direction. . .
And I kid all of you not --- i was just dreaming about going on a cruise ship. The only problem was we were all assigned to these state rooms that were many levels below sea, and the Titanic came to mind.   Also, we were all assigned our own personal stewards, and mine looked remarkably like Doug. 💜

Hi carol,oh you'll be dangerous with a bike you'll be popping in us all willy nilly now hun :ylol:
hi sandy, your cruise ship sounds good, , but than you just had to mention the titanic didn't you , that put me out of kilter a bit :ylol:
hi trev no thats only you who has nowt better to do :ylol:
hope you all are good today, lots of love to all xxx

Hi Mandy, we'll just have to take a different cruise for our Christmas party, and make sure we get rooms with our own private balconies, then we'll be fine. (The only cruise I've ever been on, we splurged and got rooms with balconies, something I will never regret. ) :Flower: :sun: :Flower:

I thought of wording my post as "for most of us," but this way I have an excuse to reply and win again.

I sleep on "Sandy standard time" which means who know when I'm going to sleep? :boring: But at least I can keep being a pest to everyone here.:D:D:D

Ah ! well if SST allows you to be a pest, good on it i say, love you being a pest  . so other than the not sleeping bit you are well i hope hun,:rosette1:

I'm okayish. How are you?

good glad you're not to bad chic , I'm ok just very tired at the mo, well i say that always tired, but with working more hours n the traveling , i am a bit more tired than usual, guess it will take a while to get used to it, but the fact the job is great makes up for it,never thought that getting up at 5-30 am for work with a smile on my face would ever have happened
need to ring my docs tomoz to see about the scan results as they haven't got back to me that i know of, had a coulpe of private num's come up on my fone but missed the call n of course you cant ring them back so ??
sorry the the book :)

I like to hear what is going on with those here, so book away! I hope you get your results soon, but of course you have to wait thru the weekend. I'm glad you like your new job too, but even with good ones, it wears you out when they are new. Hang in there!

I think I'm going to try Zzzz again, so it's safe for everyone to post again. Of course, I'll be back for the final win. :)

Well, the bike might be a no-no.It's a bit too big for me.I need to be able to put my feet flat on the ground when I stop, and my legs are too short.(Unless I hunt my 70s platform shoes out hahaha) .Being vertically challenged also has a negative affect on my height/weight ratio_Oh,how I struggle !!!
BUT,since I've been on Amitriptyline I sleep really well.So that's something positive eh ?

Off for a walk,back later.Keep yourselves amused.I know you won't have a problem with that Trev.

Oh, Carol, that's too bad about the bike. Can the seat be adjusted down at all? And don't be discouraged, remember short people don't need shrinks, tee hee. :) I've been fighting a headache, so I probably won't be back today, but I'll leave you all with one parting thought:

I've dropped off my testing device for blood glucose levels. I've been to doc and now got antibiotics for my sinus infection and bronchitis. I've been in bed since getting home. Just resting and winning.

Kirsty, you just can't seem to win, can you? Feel better. Hope you get good answers on your tests. Mandy too. Hang in there everyone. :ghug:

hi all , hope you are good or get better soon if your not to good..

morning grumpy 1, hope your well..
hi Sandy ,kirsy, carol, trysha, trev, and anyone i may have missed out (sorry)hope you are all good to today
well im off for a bath n early night,
back to work in the morning.
love n best wishes to all, you all take care now you hear !!

hi kirsty, typical isn't it !! the results of my scans is that they haven't got the result's yet !! hey ho we wait on i guess hun x

Oh Kirsty, no! I'll give this win back to you as it is time for me to wind down, almost 11:30, so not the middle of the night as much as the other night. There is nothing worse than waiting for test results, but to have to test and wait again...
I get to have a two night sleep oxygen test starting tomorrow night, but it is just a simple oxymeter taped to my finger (at home) one night with oxygen and one night without. I suspect I still need it at night, but that is not nearly as hard as tripping over the hose in the daytime.

Mandy, did you ever get your test results back?

It's was good to listen to the endocrinologist. Not that I understand it all completely. But this test will confirm the test results from the first test, which may help as some of my levels were high. The glucose test says I spend about half a night under 4 on average over 7 days. So they will arrange another fasting test in the hospital as well. But we are building a picture from which we should be able to manage life a bit better.

Sandy hope you get a good sleep hun x
Kirsty keeping fingers crossed for things to get better for you hun x

Shanen, what did you do with everyone? Scared em off with a little ol' "me"? I found something on Facebook and it made me think of you.

Getting over bronchitis. My test forms came in the mail today so I will go to the lab and get the containers and get blood tests done today. I'm doing ok.

You're really having a tough time eh? I hope you feel better soon me darlin' x

Gonna have a sloosh down and get me PJs on.Nights are cutting in now.It was the Autumn solstice on Wednesday, equal hours of darkness and daylight, but Darkness is winning the fight.
That reminds me.....where are the Princes of Darkness hiding themselves ? I think we have them beat girls. GOODNESS PREVAILS !!!

Hello ladies and... well, ladies. I hope you are all having a nice day. I know I feel physically better than I did yesterday (deprived of oxygen for one night's testing), but I am trying to figure out how we got word weeks after I finished physical therapy that I don't qualify (by the insurance company) for the second half of the therapy I had. Who will pay the bill? Did the PT place just get around to sending the request in to the insurance and just assume they would cover it? Or was insurance just that slow at notifying us? Did my neurologist have anything to do with this? These are all questions I intend to get to the bottom of, then somebody else may need physical therapy. Also, I think our next door neighbor has been stealing our newspaper for a few weeks. This is don't mess with Sandy when she had her oxygen last night day.:hallo3::D:blush::ywow::ysmile:
