Glad your friend is doing so well all things considered also Carol. Seafood is scarce and expensive around here, but I love most shellfish. (Especially lobster!) Other kinds of fish, I am not fond of. And I used to love most other kinds of meat, but after my latest set of tummy troubles the thought of it makes me nauseous. Colonoscopy in 6 days but they probably won't find anything. Oh well. That is better than having crohns. (Hope that didn't offend anyone. )
Off to my basement to do some laundry. Have a great day everyone, and stay warm. (Except Trev and Kirsty, stay cool :ycool:)

Oh Sandy I'm so offended by your crohn's remark... NOT. HAHA😀
Hope your doing my laundry too😀 Good luck with the colo hun🍀

Well,I've waited politely since yesterday PM.so someone who really needs it,could take the win.Patience isn't a virtue of mine though,so I WIN !!!

Due to lack of interest, this thread is now officially CLOSED

Please send the prize to Scottsma, postage paid.........ASAP

Hi Carol
You sound fed up..........what's up?
Did you get to deliver the crabs....
Our weather is snowy.....the roads are kept ploughed and deiced so driving never stops...well hardly ever.....
Winning.."..
Trysha

I'm fine thanks Trysha, just trying to rally the troops.

We went to our friends and delivered the crabs. It's a bright sun shiney day today.Such a difference to yesterday.Streets are dry here, but we drove in and out of lying snow on the way.Mission accomplished. It would have be sad if those crabs had died in vain.

It's early here, hubs off to golf. He's making me a cuppa. I saw my doc on wed. I have an ultrasound form to get Eggbert looked at. Eggbert is a lump at the base of my head on my left side. He's been with me for 2.5 years now. I've also been referred to a neurologist due to my shakes in my right arm. No snow here. The fan is going :)

Love the name Egbert, and hope it's nothing serious. Our former foster son has had several benign lumps taken off his skull, but thankfully, like said, benign. I just have a hole in my head! 😂😂😂

Winning. And the prize is not leaving Utah, even if you paid the postage Carol. (Boy, would that take a lot of stamps!)

Alive and kicking...meeting with the surgeon next week. Send the well earned prize to me in frozen Minnesota and closed the thread. 😊

Hiding cuz my friends smoke and I'm fighting the one year and 3 month or so crazing. HELP!!?

Hope all goes well with the surgeon next week Shanen. Well done you on the stopping smoking hun. I'm coming up to 2yrs. I have used the electronic cigarette as a substitute tho. 💕

Ditto Shanen, I get tired and frustrated, mad and angry at my life. Some days are better than others. I have a YouTube player later list of happy moments on YouTube that I like to watch when I'm low. It's mainly auditions that surprise the audience, it helps a bit.

My cats busted me. I sneaked a smoke and liked it. Can't deny it. Ughhhh why does life have to be so cruel? ? And why do I suffer the guilt? Certainly hope I passed it on to my kids. Ughhh again.

Girls i feel for you,its hard when you have bad times. 😚💕 hope this passes for you. You know you are beautiful wonderful ladies. I for one think your both super and care for you loads💞.
I was out last night and had an ice skating experience i wasnt expecting, arms flailing legs like bambi , must of looked so funny to the passers by😆

Oh my I haven't ice skated in years. With my lack of coordination it's guaranteed to end bad. Sure sounds fun though.

Shanen it's 23 yrs.since I stopped the dreaded weed, and I still miss it.I LOVED smoking, and went through far too many per day.Embarrasment stops me admitting how many. Then I got hooked on the replacement gum.If I hadn't stopped puffing away I know my health would be in dire straights by now.At least I can't blame myself for Crohns.

Where's my prize ???

It's in Utah, I keep telling you! :dusty::ybiggrin::medal1:
Hi, all! :cool::rosette1::heart::heart::heart:

Hi, all! :cool::rosette1::heart::heart::heart:

Sandra,I don't care where it is NOW I want to know when it will be in it's rightful place, and it's NOT Utah !!! All those meds are making you delusional

You may as well give in,unless you admit you're desperate.
Then somebody might take pity on you........But it won't be me !!!!

I'm to busy winning.

I have heard that eating a handful of sunflower seeds helps to stop the craving for cigarettes.
Stopping isn't easy but it can be done.
Gave it up over 30 years ago......now I don't care for the smell of the smoke
Keep up the good work Shanen...t here are always weak moments but you can do it.
Winning.......

Thanks Shanen. Yep a close call just stayed upright lol. Are well a slip up can happen. As Trysh says keep on with the good work. It was only a slip , abit like me last night haha ☺

Hey Trysha you have done really well 30yrs, way to go girl. Im nearly 2yrs now only 28 more
to catch up hun 😃

I wasnt meant to be ice skaking Shanen .. it was just darn slippy under foot. :rof:

I managed to pull a skating Bambi inside yesterday myself, but with no ice:eek2:, and went all the way down. I think I really scared Doug and Oto (foster son) with my face plant, but knew immediately nothing was broken or seriously hurt. Whew!
Went for one of our becoming oh-so-common rides up to local canyons for wildlife viewing yesterday. Saw more moose (moose must be prolific this year, we only see them every few years), deer, and wild turkeys, including turkeys in a tree. That was an interesting site! Barren tree branches with big, fat birds in them. The pic here is at drive to a barn at a local ranch, (the only one in the canyon, I think) that I'm sure unwittingly feeds and shelters these birds at times.

Winning in Utah, always will be.
And now I know why I've never desired to smoke, I eat a lot of sunflower seeds.:ylol:

Oh!! Sandy glad you are ok hun. Trust you to fall without ice , you have much more snow than me.. wanna share lol. 😆

Wish i could suss out how to post pics. Tried all sorts to no avail. Argh !!!
Managed to post a couple on my albums in my profile page. Just can't post straight on to here 😕

I won't tell you how many pills I take a day, most of them prescription and all on doctor's orders or recommendations. :ack: :ywow:
Still, it's not me that's delusional. It's the rest of the world. :rof:

Ps... What is a BB gun....is it dangerous
Apple sauce has its place in some diets.....especially when one doesn't
feel like eating too much
Winning again....

Not any in particular (football and NASCAR in my household) but I've heard the expression in before and it is football playoffs here in the USA so I wondered if maybe that was the reference.

A BB gun is a squirrel's worst friend in the hands of a 9 year old boy.

must be 18 to own a BB gun here, or 16 with a firearms licence, would love a hand gun, but not easy to get here, not even allowed a Taser or pepper spray.
at least I can win this..

The unnamed wife of Russian Feodor Vassilyev
holds the record for the most children born to one mother. She gave birth an eye-watering 69 times between 1707 and 1782,including 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets and four sets of quads.Remarkably 67 of them survived infancy.

I think she deserves the win.

Doug being an unemployment insurance tax auditor for the state (audits the employers who pay unemployment tax), he had the back window of his car shot out by a bb gun as he drove away from the owner of a business once who thought he was above paying taxes. That was almost 30 years ago, and I'm glad I didn't know him then, i would have been freaking out.
I woke up with a classic migraine today (major vision problems at first followed by massive headache), could only take Tylenol because of colonoscopy tomorrow, but very surprised that even with no solid food or Rx painkillers, after a diet coke (which I gave up for the most part several months ago because it upset my tummy) and a deep sleep nap and the Tylenol, it is mostly gone already! That deserves the win!

Trysha, bb guns are a type of air gun that fires little round discs similar to that of a pellet gun. Usually, almost never, fatal to people, but can "shoot an eye out" (reference to old classic movie "The Christmas Story" here, which still cracks me up. We have a neighbor who puts a "leg lamp" up every Christmas season.:ylol2:)

My first thought when I saw David's post was "You'll shoot your eye out Ralphie!" :rof::rof::rof: It's my favorite Xmas movie. The leg lamp should be classic.

Thank you all for the explanations but I really cannot see the point of having such a gun
-20 here and getting colder...winter is catching up with a vengeance..
Need lots of warm clothes when leaving home such cold winds
Winning........"

I cant see the point of any gun...i know guns dont kill people, its the people who have them that kill.If there werent guns then it wouldnt happen. So many lives wouldnt have been lost.
I will get off my soapbox now and claim the WIN..☺

Hey all, been thinking about you all and hoping that you are all feeling well. Sneaking in for a late night win and sending lots of positive thoughts your way - hopefully late next week my year end will be done and I can torture you on a regular basis - yay me!... miss talking to you all. Winning for a minute or two.

Yeah Grummpy. Will be great to see you more ☺. By my clock you got a 6 min win. Well done. My win now tho 💕

Thanks Mandy, I so appreciate that you will be glad to see more of me but I'm going to return the favor and take the win back after six minutes and then I'm going to go to bed and leave it in your capable hands - have a great night (here) probably day there (?) and I hope that your well. Winning again yippee!

Cheers il take on the mantle of winner till your return. Hope you are keeping well too mate. Im doing ok thanks. Goodnight God bless. Yes morning here just on way to work.💕

Yeah.

That was a long win Grumpy. Like Mandy, you sure know how to bring the game to a standstill.

SandyHope your appt.goes well today me Darlin'. Thinking about you xx

Winning.

Put your feet up Mandy and have a cuppa, while I win again.
I have to say,it's very tiring winning so often.

Sandy :rosette2: Hope you're home safe by now,but maybe you've not been "done" yet.

Don't forget to smile for the camera.:ghug:

While everyone is peacefully sleeping....I will take the win...
Had a cortisone injection in my knee today....now beginning to ache slightly..but the bright red inflammation subsided, hope it stays that way....and I deserve the win..
Good to see you Grumpy ....and all my other good friends on this forum...

Winning.......

Sandy...what is happening to you and how are you feeling....
Feel better soon....
Trysha

Sort of survived the colonoscopy. I believe I started to have a seizure twice, but stopped. Other little annoying things, like my heart that tends to get tachycardic at times did so very well when I got home. (Meds usually control it.) The prep was worse than I remember. Just small questions on scope itself, of course biopsies taken. Slept all day. Still kind of shaky feeling, tomorrow will be better. Have nice day/night all. :ghug:

Hi all,
Trysha hope the knee gets better quickly hun. 💖
Sandy hope you feel like your normal self soon, I always felt ropey after a colo, 😟
Love n hugs to you all the 💕💖

Take care out there
No skippin, slippin, tripping allowed on ice. A long summer night win.

Much better today, so i am definitely winning. I don't ever want to have another colonoscopy, but of course, doc wants me to have another one in five years at the most. But I am going to take the win every day until then. Hope everyone is at least on the mend, even Robert, but you Robert are banned from winning for ten years because you forgot all your friends here. Dave, you're not quite banned from the occasional win yet, but you better make an appearance soon. (I wonder whatever happened to other former posters on LOW like Cheryl, Sanni, etc.?)
But even so, the win is still in Utah and no, I'm not shipping the prize to you Carol, now, or ever.:ylol2::ylol2::kiss:

Oh Sandy, you know I'm persistant,to say the least.I'm also kind hearted, but I will NOT give in ........... Winning with determination !!!

PS Had a little run on my bike today.Hubby was so impressed I could have smacked him.
He must have thought I couldn't ride a bike, just because he's never seen me do it.
There's a lot of things he hasn't seen me do,but I won't go into that for now.

Hi Everybody
Seems you are all in good shape today
I had the cortisone injection and it was almost painless, the doctor who did it was lovely with most importantly a good needle technique and a pleasant sense of humour.
It took effect almost immediately, the pain stopped and by today the redness and swelling is gone and I can walk without pain.quite a miracle.
Soon I will be a real person again with no complaints......
Now if only I could get a healthy appetite back.........o well can't have everything....
Pigs might fly....
I attended a stress control lecture today part of the hospital recovery plan since I was in so long.
Glad you have survived the terrible tortures of the scope Sandy.....it's worth doing it
Had I not it would have been full blown unmanageable cancer
It's all gone with the surgeries...just a bad dream now...
I'm really on the mend finally but wouldn't mind winning the lottery!!! To share of course
Winning.......

Good for you! Sometimes the hubby thinks I'm not capable. More like I just don't want to. (Maybe because I know he'll do it)

Trysha glad you are feeling so much better.
Sandy,Carol n Shanen keep well.
Im winning the prize is mine i say all mine..😈😆💕
