Merry Christmas to all my sick-o (at least physically) friends. We could call it the "looney bin" though, as this thread's been referred to as before. :biggrin: Be back after I get some much needed rest. And I wonder who's party I accidentally crashed if it wasn't Trev's place? :ybatty:It sure was fun though.

I've been waiting for summer to arrive as I hate the cold, now summers here and it's too hot and I am sun burnt.

Well I had to look at the calendar to check what day it is.Holidays really confuse me nowadays.I'm an efficient organised little soul and I like everything in it's right place.
Which for me, so far today, is the bathroom.
Planning a walk soon,past all the public loos,but there is a chance they'll be closed, it being the hols.I imagine the powers that be think every one has a healthy innards.
I wish !!! and I win.

I'm still at the party. Made clam chowder (with Doug's help) last night for a small part of my family, and those here in New Zealand. That seemed to sit well in my tummy. May all your tummies be ever improving, as well as anything else that needs healing. And may all stay safe and away from weather catastrophies. It is bitter cold in Utah today, but we are safe and warm. (Perhaps because we are in NZ. :ylol:)
 
Sorry it's cold in Utah Sandy. We ALMOST had a white xmas here in Florida. Just 55 degrees cooler and rainy and it would have snowed. :ycool:

Here for a 4:00am check. I fell asleep in a recliner chair, woke up and groggily went to bed, laid down and zing, I'm wide awake:eek2:
 
And David, I'd take our bitter cold over hot, muggy weather any day. But it would be nice to live near the ocean. Hugs.

There are plenty of outfits here in the frozen north that will insulate and keep you toasty warm
I was just out in the freezing cold with snow swirling around me completely insulated from cold....it was quite a walk with the wind gusting almost took me off my feet.
Better than ice rain though.

David, you would like the Hawkes Bay. Have you been to NZ? Trev hosted our virtual Christmas party thus year in New Plymouth. Has an awesome mountain.
 
We were going on holiday on boxing day, finally got away today, staying at the beach tonight, leaving in the morning as I am over the kids on motor bikes racing around the camp all day. I must be getting old.
 
Now the roads are full of "Silver Cyclers" including me,very soon.

I have the paramedics on speed dial'

Yes please Carol, I'd like some summer dresses and tops. Also a years supply of under garments and some new pyjamas.
 
We have Walmart which is the sister of ASDA.
I wish we still had the little shops that had regular and exclusive designs
So cold and icy here today but turning to ice rain later......one bright spot the sun is trying to get through the clouds and succeeding.
When the ice melts I will go for a refreshing walk.......well insulated of course.
Like Carol I have difficulty knowing which day of the week it is...

It's a bit early for summer stuff Kirsty,you'll have to wait until they clear the shelves of the Christmas crap.

I'm with you Grumpy. Month end and year end here for me along with another shift in management so more new processes to accomplish the same job I've been doing forever. ~sigh~ Yes that was a whine and I cannot guarantee I'm finished. :voodoo:

Happy new year guys, only 6 hours to go, I wonder who will be the first to post next year, I don't think I can stay up that late.
 
I am on holiday at the beach and I can't go any slower without going backwards. Have just seen a lot of teenagers staying at the house across the road, looks like we may be in for a noisy night.

Hey there Carol, I'm back home now too. Wolf went AWOL but that's not unusual for him this time of year. Ma and pa were looking after him and Big T (Teesha) while we were away.

Yeah. Bee doing pretty good. I have a new job now, it is just part time, but i hope it will go full time soon. My crohns on the other hand... not so much. Miss y'all!
 
Whatcha doing now Jamie? Still work in youth ministries?Sorry crohn's not doing well. Anything they can do to help improve it? I've been having my own GI problems, they think I had a partial obstruction that passed, (thank goodness!), still having other problems and more testing done. Have a small bowel series this week, then another colonoscopy a couple weeks after that. ~sigh~ I'm gaining more empathy for all of you daily. 💛💜
 
No, no more student ministry for me. My heart got pretty smashed after everything went down, so that is not where I am feeling led amymore. I am working part time at the local university. It started out as part time temp and it was going to end before Christmas, but they want me to come back and go on the retreat next week too! I feel like the longer I am there the eaiser it will be for them to hire me. Yea! As for my crohns been having some changes to my "normal" routine so I need to call my GI tomorrow. Hope you are doing well!
 
January 1... My handbag was stolen..from my apartment..it had my bank book and debit card in it
Bank has taken action to prevent illegal withdrawals and card is cancelled
Police are involved and will be reviewing the security cameras tomorrow
Don't need this in my life...

The banks have been really helpful and are ready if this person makes any attempt to access the account with the bank card.
If she uses a machine the card will be swallowed up and if she asks for help at the counter she will be arrested.
They would really like to catch her.
I am feeling a bit stronger today with all the support and also with the knowledge that she has been automatically recorded on the security system in the apartment building...the police were going to review all the info.
I gave them a written description and a record of all the detail I could remember.
It is shattering though
At least it is not snowing but is bitterly cold with an icy wind.

Oh my Trysha, you can't win for losing, can you? when you say you gave them a description, did you see the actual thief or are you talking about the contents of your purse? They will get her! I hope you are feeling better physically also.
They came out with a list of the top 20 safest cities to live in Utah, and Kaysville was number 2. I say you should all move here. Always winning.:ysmile::medal1:

Horrible wet,miserable day.Have been for a haircut and some shopping and have fed hubby and washed up.So I'm going to read for a bit.
This sounds soooo trivial and shallow in view of poor Trysha's troubles,but I know she won't mind.

Winning at the GI's office. Had to go in for extra appointment because I have been feeling so bad lately. But even if the results dont come back in my favor, I am still winning!!!!
