Trip was great. Interesting to see a new country. And Africa for that matter. Just it would have been nice if the weather had been just a bit warmer. Had to have a jacket on the whole time. But there was good food, nice people. I will have to see if I can put some pics in my album later once I get them off the camera.. we don't have too meny since in Islam coulture taking pictures is not really advised and we wanted to respect the locals. So most of the photos are in the hotel area. I would definately go there again.
 
I say! I didn't know ........................................ oh are you talking about the cricket?
 
Actually I am so cold it is difficult to think about cricket - but looking forward to the new season in a long hot summer. Toasted crumpets and coffee for breakfast - nice!
 
I really like toasted crumpets!!! It's been hot here. My cat won't let me type at the moment. Wolf wants me to be asleep
 
Freezing weather = toasted crumpets, hot cross buns, tomato soup, hot chocolate. Right that's breakfast taken care of.

We had a great time. The weather was a bit chilly.. but then that was expected. Maybe better to go there a bit more closer to summer if we go again. But pretty much just a relaxing holiday. Lots of eating. :D

Well, hubs moved my car this morning so I wouldn't get stuck in the driveway again, lol. Heard on the news this morning that we are forecasted for 3-8 more late Sunday or Monday morning......nooooooooooooooooo
 
We've had an easy winter till lately, but sheesh! I woke up with a head cold this morning, just BAM!!! Wishing I was anywhere but work, actually, home in bed with a cup of coffee or hot tea.
 
Thank goodness I didn't get any this year! I had a sniffle(runny nose) for 3 days and it was gone. Really was nothing. My son and girl have bronchitis and they all have had colds all winter pretty much!
 
I'm hoping if I get out of here in 4 hours, go home and nap a bit, that it might help. Need to up my vitamin doses for a couple of days too, probably.
 
Do you take Vitamin c? I was trying to with b complex and it seems to bether me. I can't handle acid. But I need it right now since I can't eat raw anymore. Wish I had a juicer!

Welcome back Sanni.I loved your pictures,it looked warm even if it wasn't.I liked the one of you and your fella gazing lovingly at each other, aaahh !!! Was Wilho pleased to see you,or had he been spoilt while you were away?Keep warm in case you catch a chill
 
I have C at home, it may bother my stomach acid, but might try and see. I did get my Bcomplex again, have been double dosing it since last Saturday, having been off both of them a month or more.
OMG lol, a customer just felt so bad for me, she went out to her car and came back in with medicine, lmao! My nose looks like Rudolph already.

When the sun was out it was warm. Better then here with freezing and snow anyways. :)

My mom took Wilho with them when they picked me up from the airport. He was so exited to see me. Was fun. He was well cared for while I was a way that is for sure. I think my mom and step-dad enjoyed him more then they admit to. ;)
 
CLynn,I think hot black currant juice is the best for flu or cold. Try that if you can get some. Black currant (or red even) concentrate and add boiling water to it. That should have lots of C in it too.
 
They also have blackberry syrup too you can buy that is supposed to help. I rarely get a cold, so haven't tried it yet.
 
I'd offer you some of my ginger wine. I had some last night on ice. Tastes great not sure what it does for colds :)
 
I heard the words "ginger wine" and I woke up from my nap, with my sore throat and my cough. it's snowing outside, and guess what? it is still a beautiful day. Hugs to all, and Sanni, I liked the tall dark and handsome pic best also. I'm glad you got your car out, Cheryl, and you didn't have to do it. To all of us, feel better.

I'm glad you are well. hmm ... tuna pasta. something I might actually make for dinner, after kiddo #1 comes for a short visit. he forgot his cds from when he was here last visit. Kiddo #2 game for a short visit yesterday after she called five minutes before getting here. it was really nice to see her, in spite of all my complaints. I better go do my housework before I can't wake up. have a great day all.
 
found out from doctor that major study done, two tablespoons Dark honey and lemon better than any medicine known in US for coughs and laryngitis. The cough medicine with codeine second best. I bought the dark honey today, and have rx now too so Doug can sleep through my coughing cause I'll sleep better. Also have inhaler so I don't wheeze or rattle with my bronchitis. Also have anti-biotic to take if not starting to get better in a week, but won't take until then because probably viral, of course. I'm just glad to have inhaler, I'm allergic to not breathing. And I win because nobody likely to post this time of night/day on a Saturday.

all I know is I don't want to peel potatoes right now. we have extra cheese and diet coke in the fridge. and a V8. hmmm

nobody wants to stay for my dinner? I'm tired too, though and Allie has been trying to knock the phone out of my hand all night. especially when I was fishing (a fishing app on my phone actually).

this weeks project is a worn out concrete mixer for my daughter, it should have gone to the scrap yard. i think i need a holiday.
 
I would like a holiday, yay! I have a mini break in the Wairarapa next weekend as we go to the Martinborough fair. Today I stacked 3 pellet loads of woods in the garage. I'm stuffed. Tea is heat and eat.

they would have been annoyed and worried I was passing germs. if I was then, I would have thought the same thing. I knew yesterday I wasn't going. Doug is there now all by his little 6'3" self.
 
if I ask "where did you go" a post will appear from you king, just before mine. maybe I should do that and win.
 
I've got to go "inhale", test blood and blood pressure, (##&+ doctors. No wonder I don't get anything done) and eat meds and breakfast. talk to all later.

'Sides, I am tired of talking to myself.
 
that's funny, I couldn't wake up enough to make it to my inhaler (until I just coughed again). I don't think I'm going to be able to stay awake long enough to talk, sorry.

I thought you were going to say you couldn't wake up long enough to make it to the toilet........but your inhaler is more important eh? 3-47am here.I usually read when I can't sleep.Don't know how long I'll be here though.:wink:
 
Just woke up and made it to the toilet. Allie had been trying to wake me up for who knows how long, pushing her head under my hand, nudging my legs, nudging her nose under my face, trying to push my legs, whimpering for who knows how long, and she made it to the toilet too. I was very deep into a dream.

she's a good little doggy.
