Carol can be quite mean when you steal her win .................................. actually she is mean all the time

Sanni would you like some chocolate? Would you - would you

I will direct people to a certain other thread unless you start being nicer to me,and then there might be some embarrassing questions asked. After all.just what have I done to incur your rancour and disdain? Just because I won't let you get the better of me.and bow to your intelligence and masculinity (tongue in cheek)heeheehee.:lol2:

Oh, it most definately is a job for sure, and yes he is. And he probably will smile at that, thinking it's a good thing, lol!

And we actually had to GET UP to turn the channels?? lol! My first M-TV we got illegally, haa haa, our tv had a "broad band" and I made my oldest brother tune that channel in for me. That was when it was worth watching.....

What fun - as a child of the 1960's we had a Bush television, black & white (of course), 2 channels - seems ancient now but far more innocent times for television - and much the better for it I think.

WW. If its any conselation I know 2 people our age that have crohns and have had a baby. Both did quite allright through the pregnancy and the other is now starting to try for her second child. You will be ok. ;)

my family was about the last one on the planet to get a color television, and the only reason we got one is my grandpa died and my mother inherited it. I was twelve at the time. our black and white was an Admiral, if memory serves me right. I remember watching the moon landing on it.

Hey Sanni, sorry you're having one of 'those' days...we're all here for you and will let you win if that makes you feel better!
By the way, WHAT's the prize?

Thanx Paddy. I am feeling quite a bit better allready. Just a slight head ache now from all the stress of worrying. Ill bo ok by tomorrow. Having tea now and that always helps to feel better.

Was diagnosed with Crohn's before I had either of my kids. In all actuality, I felt better pregnant than I did normally, lol!

The old timers all know that only the Utahns know, because we always win.

This is actually quite the case for meny pregnant that have crohns. While pregnant the bodys cortisone levels are higher and this helps feel better. The problem for meny is that once the baby is born the levels drop. Now WW's doctors should know this and should monitor her closely or even put her on a small dose of cortisone before the due day. This will not harm the baby one bit. Also most all meds that we use are ok to be used durring pregnancy.

Mmmhmmm. I was told that the beginning of pregnancy and right after are both key times the hormones can cause a flare. So my GI urged me only to not get pregnant while flaring, but assured me that if I did flare, the meds they would use would be safe.

May be the beginning then too. I only knew of the risk after birth. Anyways with more knowlege of this topic that doctors have I am sure that one can have a very succesfull pregnansy. :)

One last win before bed.
Good night you lot. Thanks for all the cheering up today. Really feel better (besides a head ache).

hi Cheryl, we just started day light savings (or it ended) and now you are 1 hour closer.
but its still tuesday here.

Moving up on Monday evening here. We ended our daylight savings 2 weeks ago...I am still not right because of it, lol!

I will take that burden from you Id. Thank you.

Trysha, did you get your tahnkyou bar back?

Hi Sanni
No there is still no "thanks" bar.
I did ask David but he does not know what happened either.
So I am destined to receive no thank you's from anybody.

However......I will take the win........
even if I am losing.......

Winwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwinwin.....yep that's what I said!

Actually, I'm a little nervous. We are expected to have a huge wind storm not a lot unlike the one we had December 2011, which produced the wind storm that created the tornado that ripped parts of our roof off. Sustained winds 40 to 50 mph, gusts at hurricane force.   Hopefully, it won't be as bad as then. Chances aren't, it won't, but hearing about the same forecast (with references to that storm) produces a little post traumatic stress.

Good morning. Doggy sitting friends dog today so have 2 boys here fot today. A bit of a change to the normal every day. I should try and clean up the house a dit today.. So I gues I will go do that. I win!

Hi everybody, Tuesday and I'm only just able to make sense of the world. 11.50am here,(bad night) and I slept intill I woke. Bliss! (except I think our postman thinks I live in my nightclothes!) anyway, just before I retired for the night, I asked what the prize was and now can't find my question...duh! Don't bother replying 'cos that would upset David who says that for certain considerations, he'll let me win! I hope all are well and that those who have their night during our day are sleeping well. Hugs to everyone X

No I'm here - just watching the trouble you get into and waiting for someone 'normal' to show up. Looks like I have several hours work to do tonight - how did that happen?

Sensible conversation - at last - I am just writing a piece on the third fermentation of cigar tobacco - what are your views?

Well I think you are very normal Paddy ...................................... except this strange idea you are going to win! We all know I will be the winner

good morning/evening my fellow crohnies. how are you all doing? would someone like to come over and give me a big hug to warm me up, its freezing today.

Sensible conversation - at last - I am just writing a piece on the third fermentation of cigar tobacco - what are your views?

How is the fermentation process effected Robert?
Do you put the leaves in a controlled climate and keep moist at a constant temperature.
Do you add anything else.
To what do you attribute the fermentation process?
Is it bacterial, fungal or natural in its breakdown?
How long does the process take and how is the end product handled.
Are the leaves hand rolled?
Many questions I know but that is the scientist in me.........
Now for the win............

Sensible conversation - at last - I am just writing a piece on the third fermentation of cigar tobacco - what are your views?

At what point did the 1st and 2nd fermentation take place? And what constitutes the end of each fermentation? When some non-Cuban producers of cigars speak about the fifth or sixth fermentations their leaves allegedly undergo before their cigars are twisted, they are slyly deceiving. Fermentation is a unified process that can be broken into as many parts as convenient. Even if a finished cigar were moistened with water, fermentation would begin.

I have no idea about any of this. I've worked in tobacco all my life and have never heard of tobacco fermentation!!

Wow I'm impressed with questions and look forward to the answers. I know nothing in this area. In other areas I may be able to offer some words of wisdom. I did bloods, meds, X-ray on right hip today, I wish you didn't have to wait for results and that they could tell you then and there if you are screwed or not

Thanks Trev , but I think I'm screwed as 4 tramadol don't make the pain go away

Hi Aura
Your tests have taken place in three geographic areas and therefore there will be expert reports from each one.
This when put together gives an overall picture which when interpreted by your GI takes time up to your next appointment or sooner if needed.
It is pretty awful waiting for results and news and what will happen next.
I am sharing the same boat with you.
Cheers!
Hugs and best wishes
Trysha
PS still no "thanks" bar but taking the win anyway

My X-ray was in porirua, radiographer somewhere in the world will probably analyse pics tonight and then do report. Is that wot happens?

Is porirua a place name?
My results are all done in the same hospital and most regular results will be available within 24hours.
Unusual tests may take a bit longer.
Any unusual results are phoned to the GI..
Why would yours not be similar.
Do you live in a remote area?

Trev it's been like this for three weeks I can do another couple of days.

Trysha, porirua is a small city north of Wellington. X-rays are done by a private company, cost me $106. I asked for a copy of report and report goes to my GP doc. From there I pay another $50 to go to doc to get results and management plan. Hence why I asked for a copy if report. The results are normally with GP in two days

I MISS TERESA!
... just had to get that off my chest.
Beyond that, AARRGGHHH!
Beyond that, I win.
And feel better Kirsty.

Thanks Sandy :) it's ok to miss friends means you'll be extra happy when she's back

yes, I will be happy when she is back.
it's been a stressful few days and she always calms me down. I had a sis with emergency oral surgery, my dad's stroke situation led to some stress ( his wife is divorcing him, but it is for the best, just logistical problems with what to do with him as he can't take care of himself), and a niece had a major surgery because her past two pacemakers, both this year (8th pacemaker in her 36 years) have had complications. She now has lung problems because of them having to crack open ribs and deflate a lung to get to her heart, of course re inflated it, but she has been thru so much. she also has a baby under a year old (her pregnancy prob caused some of the problems).
it's been a hard little while. also, won't get my EEG results back until the 19th because I forgot to make a doctor appointment ahead of time. Really want to know what it said because had some times when something not right, but not typical seizure either. (like extreme brain fog for several hours at a time.)
