heh.heh...you thought I'd gone, didn't you?well, my pretties, I'm here and working undercover...watch your backs...I could be pretending to be anyone, or maybe not!

It's no good, I've flipped! Too much telly being interrupted by too many loo breaks. I can'tgo on*****
Night night folks, sleep tightXXXXX

Lurking? look behind you...I knew you'd creep up on me, Psychic as well!
I'm going to close my eyes but don't think you're safe....I'
be back!

I'm here now just lit a fire and seriously thinking about opening a red wine

Good morning. Got my new pet home last night. .. with its food.. so is that 4 pets then? (the food is 3 crickets). And the pet a Brachypelma smithi. Exiting.

Is that enough crickets for the spider?

For 1 week it is. Ill get more then. I have a friend that lives just 2 min walk away with all sort of reptiles and spiders and we have a deal that they will suply my spider its food. Right now it eats about 2-3 times a week. Later once its an adult maybe once a week. He sais crickets tend to die easy, so I will just get them from them at a regular basis. Also he will help me out to learn what I am doing. lol

I haven't handled my spider and don't plan to any time soon. Its still a spiderling and the leg span is just under 3 cm.. so its tiny. And it still kind of freaks me out. Haha. But it is a breed that can be handled as in its a docile breed and should not be agressive at all. I have handled my friends adult spider and it was really cool. The legs kind of grab your skin so it feels really funny.

I googled it do I could see a picture of what it looks like :) what's it's name?

I am calling it Toxin. Toxy for short. :) I dont know if it male of female. You cant really know with the small spiders. Figured that name will be ok for either.

This is what it looks like now. It will get its nice colours as it matures.

Awesome, great pic so Toxy will get redder as s/he gets older? How cool and a great name

Yeah her legs.. or knees (Its the Mexican red knee) will be red (or orange) and her back or the rim of it. The rest should be black. A good looking spider. Its "famous" since in movies like James Bond this B. smithi is used for its good looks.

This new pet is so exiting for me. Get to learn a whole new world of an animal. If someone would have said 1 year back that I would own a spider I would have laughed and said no way. But getting to see my friends pets and how interesting (and beautiful) they are really got me exited. To grow the come out of their old skin and then fill up the soft new one with body fluids (that gets hard in a couple days). They can actually almost double in size with a molt. Toxy did this last monday while still at my friends, but I got to see it. It was so interestin. As an adult her size from leg tip to leg tip should be about 15cm.

So very different pet from the dog and cats. I gues I have them to cuddle and Toxy is more to observe. :)

That's sounds very interesting Sanni, a great new learning curve for you and Toxi and your other pets :)

Thanx Aura. I'v been quite pleased that most people are interested in the new pet. Only some are getting really bad reactions (which I understand).

I only managed 2 years of marriage with my ex-husband. (we lived together for 8). On our second anniversary hes was more on the line of "your too sick to do anything anyways" and didn't even take me out for a dinner.. so we got divorced. (And ofc it was not just as simple as that.. but it gives a bit of an idea). lol

I am happy Doug is a keeper. Its so nice when you find one. My man now is definitely a keeper too.

Oh.. I changed my browser from firefox to google chrome and I now have a spell checker on it. So I guess my spelling will finally improve a bit. :cool2:

I'm glad you have a keeper too. I feel very lucky because I didn't have the best background and Doug still loved me (I'll tell you a secret, I was married twice before ). In fact Doug said the sweetest thing he could have when I kept getting scared he wouldn't want me, he said "your past is part of you and I love you." Now, isn't that the sweetest thing a man could have said to a very hurt and gun shy ( guy shy) person? My family was mad at me and not very accepting of Doug at first for getting married again, but now they would keep Doug over me. :) That's a keeper.

My second one was a lot like your ex, he didn't want to be seen with me because I started to have a funny gait from what I now know were mini strokes. it was all about them, wasn't it?

I've gone all funny, my legs have gone like jelly and I'm terrified of your spider pic. Seriously.
I'm sure you think he's lovely but could we have 6 or 7 warnings before you show any more please? Seiously!

Sorry Sanni but all the spiders in this house die. RIP Dusty's house spiders. :eek2:

It's only because Australians regard spiders as a delicacy - a real culinary highlight of the week

No wonder Kylie spends so much time over here

Sorry Paddy. I will try do a warning next time. Be happy you missed the pics with me and the boa. ;)

To be honest Dusty, all other spiders in this house die too. My boyfriends sais I will be a bad spider owner since I kill the "house spiders".

Oh my goodness! I smell smoke! Wait.....no.....it's Robbie's undies burning cause he is lying!

You best not give in to temptation sanni or it will be RIP Toxy!

There's nothing wrong with ENGLISH spiders,I help them out of the bath and put them gently outside.Aussie spiders, well that's different.........

No spiders allowed in our house...scared stiff and I turn into a mass muderer with the Dyson if I'm on my own!

Spiders in the bath.. now I've heard everything.

ps. does anyone want to be my friend? I could use some friends!

Oh the usual, crohn's off and on since my teens. It feels like it's kicking my behind right now though. I'm pregnant and keep going back and forth with the runs and constipation. I feel awful :ymad:

Is this your first child? I think I saw a thread somewhere once about Crohn's and pregnancy. hope that helps, but keep coming back here if you want some fun ( and punishment).

Is it a female? You could call her Charlotte ....Charlotte's Web is a cute story. I hate spiders. But when I think of "Charlotte's Web" spiders arent so icky to me.

Yes it is. That's why I'm looking for advice from people who will understand what I'm going through. I will keep checking back but it looks a little bleak so far :(

Sorry WW No children here so I dont have any advise or suport in that part. Other things maybe. Probably not so much right now. Right now I hate myself and the world.

Goin out with the dog and taking the win with me.

No worries! I really just would like people to talk to.
Aww What's a matter? I can try to help if you like!

Good morning sunshines! not even nine a.m. and I have started laundry, written a letter, played sudoku, changed the being and made the bed, showered, cleaned a bathroom, had some breakfast, and made some some lemon honey pomegranate tea (darn throat congested again). Sanni, you are a beautiful unique lady who is very loved here.I know that doesn't make illness go away, and if there is anything else going on it doesn't make that go away either. Just know that Wonder is correct, a lot of people would love to help you if they could.
Wonder, I'm glad you're here too. I'm not the one with an IBD in my family and I don't have children, but have been pregnant. I can't imagine what the combination must be like, especially because there is so little medicine you can take when pregnant with a flare. Just know we are here for you too.
And since I am so kind, I win.

Is this the spider forum? I don't pick spiders up - but I have never (knowingly) killed one in my life. They don't worry me in the slightest - clearing out the garden shed - no problem.

Just a hard day of generaly feeling unimportant to the world and a loser. You know.. same old same old. ;) Just some days hit you harder then others.

Thank you bot though. Glad this forum is here.

Thanks for everyone's kind words! Right this moment I feel alright. But it keeps teetering on the edge of ick. Also to make matters worse, still waiting on ''paperwork'' before the hospital can make me a permanent record, so might end up having to wait on blood tests.

Sanni, chin up pet.We all get feelings like that sometimes, where you KNOW you should pull yourself together, but just can't.You'll feel ok in a day or two,so just go with the flow and be kind to yourself. And lots of chocolate.Robert will send you some. After all,he's the KING of making people feel unwanted.......

Thanks Carol. Feeling a bit better allready. Gues a good cry helps. I know I will be ok in a day or two. Just one of those days.

I know what you mean about Robert. That big care-bear. ;)

I just made some awesome food with some spinach-ricotta cannelonis. Now waiting for my mom to stop by so I can tease her with it. Shes on this new crazy diet where you fast with 500ckal on 2 days a week but eat normal on the other 5 and today is her diet day. She is stopping by to pick up some sun block lotion for her trip to India next week.

It's a loooooooooong time since I was pregnant, and luckily I didn't have I.B.D.back then. It's easy for me to say,but don't dwell on the bad things you read online.Don't think to far ahead and just take one day at a time, and try to enjoy the good bits.Everyone is different,as are their symptoms and treatment. We know you're worried,so we will all help where we can.:ghug:

Thanks very much! I am really trying not to read things online, but people keep pointing them out to me and I am a little bit paranoid to begin with. I appreciate your kindness!

Well, laughing at your Mom salivating over your cannelonni, should make you laugh, but that's cruel Sanni.I've heard /read about that diet.Is it working ?

I had a good cry at the weekend - I went to the fridge and found I had run out of beers - and you people think you have problems!

No beer? What about whisky and cigars? Your really in trouble once you run out of them. We may even try to make you feel better if that would ever happen.

I am not sure if the diet is working. She sais its easy for her to do it since 500kcal is still a good amount of food when you eat salad. lol. I think she has been on it for 3 weeks and claims to have lost 1 kg or so. Who knows.

Her husband is Indian and I think this is my moms 3rd time to go there. She does not really like it that much but they are going with some friends and I hope they have a good time. Hope she satays well. They are there for 2.5 weeks.
