Sorry Carol I couldn't resist. Hope you're still improving and feeling better Kirsty.

Winning...

Morning to you too Grumpy, have a good day, mine's almost over,I'm all squeaky clean after my bath and have got my PJs on ready for a night in front of the telly.:wine:

Dave !!!! If you're still shovelling I hope you're not over-doing it.:thumleft:

We broke down and hired a neighbor to plow after the most recent storm this morning. It was nice not to spend a couple hours doing it with the snowblower. It leaves more energy for shoveling. I did go out snowshoeing with the dogs today and that was fun. I'll be tired at work tonight but I figured the enjoyment was worth it. The exercise may even keep the usual fatigue at bay for awhile.

I agree ultrasound is a great noninvasive tool. That was one of the ways they found my blockage. It gave helpful images,it did not show the extent of the blockage, but showed the location. Since they didn't have you come back in immediately I wouldn't worry too much. Easy for me to say, huh? Can you call and ask what warranted the decision for an ultrasound? Tell them it would put your mind at ease. We need to stay on top of this disease and testing is a necessary inconvenience. Think of it as a preventive measure that will help you to not need emergency care for something in the future that could of been dealt with but wasn't. Huh? That made sense I hope. Let us know.

I wish all a great afternoon and I will take a I have to get ready for work win!

winning with grace ........... (who's she ? )

Grace is elegance,charm and wit
Who is Sylvia....
Great to see you had good help with the snow Dave

Kirsty here,s hoping things are as well as possible for you
Winning...........

spent the night before last in ER with nosebleed that wouldn't stop, went home, then spent yesterday throwing up several times and went back to ER because also very weak. Was admitted because possible internal bleeding. Managed to get a migraine while here. Always get migraines when don't eat right, and couldn't eat at all. :(. Also had bad chest pains, in between two EKGs, which pains made me want to die. Of course, pain stopped right before second EKG, so should be glad. Was given morphine and slept better than have in long time at least. :) morphine wearing off now and headache coming back so growling while I can.
grrr, feel better Robert?!!

Aw Sandy, you're really having a tough time lately aren't you ?

Sending you great big hugs and kind thoughts for a speedy recovery.:ghug:

It seems a lot of us are, Carol (having tough times). This world has gone crazy in many ways. (And we're the only sane ones, right?)

Ok so for the good news I get discharged today, yay!!!

The great news is NZ best England at cricket and then some!

Sandy and Carol thinking of you both.

I still need to limit my fluid intake to 1.5 litres a day, eat salt and drink electrolytes. Inject blood thinners twice daily. My tremors and twitching have stopped and I can hold a drink in my right hand nice and still. That was all due to low sodium.

You just had to mention the cricket

Robert, you knew I would :)
How could I not mention it when Southee bowled so well and McCullum batted like a nutter.

Oh Sandy how awful for you to be facing all this trauma and vexation to the spirit
It is good to hear you are in capable hands and the safety of the hospital
Hope you are soon better again
Kirsty-----hope you are improving
Carol .......good to see you
Winning............

I'm so glad you are going home Kirsty. I was starting to get concerned you hadn't posted again, but I know how those first 48 hours are. It's all uphill from here! And relatively quickly, when compared to that second day especially. Hugs!

Yay Kirsty! Hey all I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and keeps well, and/or feels better. Thinking good thoughts for you all - winning. :ghug:

Great news Sandy,Allie will be happy to see you of course.........If you lock your hubby and the dog in a cupboard for an hour, who will be ecstatic to see you when you open the door ? Not the one with two legs that's for sure.......Feel better soon all of you who are under par.xx

Hope things are getting better for you Carol
Weather still frigid another 10cm snow int the forecast
Winning.....

I'm amazed at the cold. Steve showed me a pic of Niagara Falls and it's frozen. That's amazing and bloody cold.

Great news Sandy :) :) :)

Morning Carol how are you? Did I tell you my gyno removed a large Fibroid? That was located on the side of my sharp pain under my rib cage. It was pushing against other organs and was why I got the pain higher up. I'm so glad I have an awesome gyno.

I got holiday snaps of her work. But before anyone panics. They are not uploaded anywhere. I may sent you more Kirsticons - emoticons done with a selfie, like this .,,

How are you feeling K.,? are you very sore ?
I'm surprised you're home so soon, but glad you are.
I remember the Doc. telling me I could drive after 6weeks.

I said " Thanks Doc.,that's great,'cos I couldn't drive when I came in "

I'm not allowed to walk far or out of the house for three weeks. I've got lots of restrictions on lifting reaching etc. I get bad pain at certain times but not constantly any more.

I was impressed with Southee's accuracy of hitting the wickets Ducky, it reminds me of watching Richard Hadlee.

I've never been good at watching rugby. My dad was a prop and a coach. I keep calling the ref a 'tanker!' Family sitting next to me in the stands walk away from me, have done since I was a kid.

Once a guy asked me after a kirsty barrage what I did for a living..."early childhood teacher" I replied. He said " thank God you don't look after my kids" I said "this is where I vent my passion for the game not how I teach young children"

Snow is falling rapidly silently hampering movements
No traffic to be seen......yet
Snowplows non stop
Where will all the snow go.....
Good to see you in fine form psychologically Kirsty there will be aches to get over
I am staying indoors today...too hazardous to walk and I don't want to end up like a frozen Popsicle blowing in the wind
Trysha

Hope Dave is not buried in a snowdrift ....with his snow blower
Be careful with all that snow Dave

hi Kirsty, pleased you are home again and on the mend. if that's your winter wood supply then you may be in for a cold winter. that wouldn't last us a month.
winning.

I'm finally home, and it has been snowing softly off and on all day, which we needed here. We win!

Welcome home Sandy
Take it easy.........no snow shovels for you
Feel better soon
Hugs
Winning..........

Hey Sandy, welcome home. Isn't it great to be at home and not hospital? I love it! Bit at times we just need the extra help with hospitals, etc

Yes, there's no place like home! And yes, I'm glad hospitals are there when we need them, but boy am I glad to be home!

Hi Kirsty
I am here to answer your question
With the differences of time maybe you are now sleeping
Can't believe how this year is speeding by..... Season of Lent already
Seen any good Easter eggs lately?
Still snowing but I think Dave has it worst
Oscar films look strange this year
Winning.........

Is it just me or do the Oscar's seem to come around faster each year.......... and another thing, each year there are at least ten films nominated for major awards - so 100 films in ten years, so why can I rarely find a film I like?

It's a well known fact Robert.....the older you get,the faster it goes or comes around. There's to much noise, traffic, litter, technology, expense etc.etc.:ymad:

And far too much winning from little old me.:rof::rof::rof:

It is said that life speeds as follows:
Age 50 life speeding by at 50 mph
Age 60. ". 60mph
Age 70. ". 70 mph
And so on and so fifth............you get the idea........?
Life slows a bit with lots of snow.......
Winning,,,,,,,,,,,

Losing. Allie fell off the couch and hurt her back. She is now on pain killers (was given injection), but can't get her to take her prednisone (we usually give pills in cheese, but she won't eat), and she is not walking very well. Just hoping against hope there is no permanent spinal cord damage.:pale:

Oh Sandy, that is not good to hear. I'm thinking of you and a swift recovery for Allie. Xxx

Aw Sandy, poor Allie (and you of course) I don't know what to suggest if she wont eat.Alfie took his meds on a bit of warmed sausage, but he loved his food right to the end. Can you get liquid steroids from the vet and use a syringe in the corner of her mouth ? But I know you won't want her stressed.

Morning all, glad that all are home safely. Sandy, sorry about Allie hope that she recovers quickly for you. Carol, hope that you are feeling better?
Winning

Started acupuncture today for painful knee..osteonecrosis..... also asked to include
acupuncture points to see if it will improve renal failure
Hoping for great results...no promises made
So sad for Allie hope you are both soon better
Why did he fall?
Winning...........

My baby fell because she tried to scratch her back on the couch cushion and didn't realize the edge was there. She is not in very good shape right now, but better than last night when I thought we had lost her. Still ... don't know ...
I sometimes wonder how much more we will be asked to endure. Then again, had a good doctor appointment (for myself) today.
Hanging in there win.
I appreciate all my friends here win, and glad for distractions such as England vs New Zealand, although my cuppa tea world be more like a college game, say, UofU v Oregon.

Steve and I had our wedding pics at a cricket ground in Wellington. On top of our cake was a wicket block Steve was holding the bat and I had his ball/s in my hand :)

Thanks Grumpy,I'm feeling a lot better ( physically ).I've got a funny pain across my mid section, but other symptoms have eased.

As for Alfie, well for us, life without him is getting just about bearable, but we feel we are missing a huge part of ourselves.

Good morning all. Carol, Kirsty, Trysha and Sandy...glad all are on the mend.
Hi Grumpy1! Good to see you again Ducky!

Morning All, so glad to read you all.
Trysha I hope the acupuncture gives you some relief and helps the kidneys
Hope everyone else continues to heal and mend
Hey, Shanen how are you doing? How's remicade treating you?
Morning, Ducky, Robert, Trev and Doug and Dave
Carol, Kirsty and Sandy I hope that you all have a better day today than yesterday
Winning

Allie is eating cheese again and a few of her other favorites like cooked chicken, but not eating her kibble yet. She is a lot better every day. I think she has felt all the well wishes.:tear: It is amazing what a huge part of our lives they become.
I hope all of you continue to mend also.
And congratulations England...

I wouldn't worry about her kibble Sandy,as long as she's showing interest in nibbles.
We don't always feel like eating much when we're poorly.:thumright:

and she said " What are you doin today ? ".
and I said " Nothing ".
and she said " But you did that yesterday ".
and I said "I haven`t finished yet ".

stop being so flaming nice you two,it's not allowed on here.Except for Trysha of course,I've never heard her say a bad word about anybody. It's not natural I tell you !!!!

Taking the win, whether you like it or not......(How's Allie Sandy ?)

If you can't tell, I've been "stalking" LOW this morning. But I was just going to go as I have a massage for my aching muscles scheduled. :)
Allie really is a little miracle --- as long as she gets her pain meds timely. (I slept thru her scheduled time. Bad mommy Sandy.) She has always been known to be quite stoic, so any whimper we know she is still in a lot of pain, but moving great, and improving in all ways tremendously every day. The first night she cried all night and nearly ripped my heart out.

Happy to hear Allie is improving. And I'm winning but not feeling especially nice today.

Win,Win,Win!!!

I finally got a new(used)vehicle. An'05 Subaru Forester, first place I drove it to was my Remicade infusion yesterday. I like it. Plenty of room for Sandy's oxygen for our next get together.

Win,Win,Win again!

I've been wondering where you were Dave,Are you well ? Have you still got snow ?
Hubs and I discussed getting another dog today.Life is so unbearable and BORING !!!

But might have to wait ,as a letter today from the hospital says inflammation in small bowel has gone, possibly due to steroids,BUT MRI indicates possible gallbladder polyps, hence ultrasound next month. Not a good idea to get a new family member if I need surgery......Glad Allie's feeling better Sandy, now it's your turn xx

It's your turn to get better too Carol. And if you do need surgery, and I'm not just saying this, like my hysterectomy, my gall bladder removal also gave me a tremendous amount of pain relief. Those two surgeries were the biggest life changers for the better. I've had other surgeries (too many), but those two were most the good difference makers.
Allie's recovery has been remarkable from where she was, but she does have a compressed disc in her spine and will take a long time to heal as much as she can. But still a little miracle dog. Sorry I'm so wrapped up in her situation y'all.
Going back to sleep win. Zzzzzzz

Quick win before my second walk of the day.I'm making a big effort to get back on track. When Alf was young I used to walk at least 6mls.a day (as well as 3 fitness classes a week)
But obviously I had to adjust and slow down as he got older and sick.So hence two half hour + walks a day to start with.Keep fit classes will not now be part of my regime due to age and decrepitness hahaha......Hope you're on the mend K.,But don't do too much just 'cos you THINK you can (or should).

Thanks Carol that's the hard part. I'm doing good, but I have a history of pushing limits. I know I don't want to undo surgeons good work. So I'm trying real hard yo do nothing. :)

It won't be long before it's just a memory.......... I had mine 6wks before Xmas and did the shopping, with help, and cooked Xmas dinner with help with the heavy pans.
I know it'll seem like ages to you now,but it's just the blink of an eye,and well worth it.
Just back from walk no.2. really enjoyed it,but a wasted walk without a four-legged friend.

Winning.

Is it time for a cuppa tea then Carol? It must be avo tea time for you now. I think I sat in my chair too much yesterday. I've been rather sore since then. I can't wait till I don't have to be on fluid restrictions. Then I can have a big cuppa tea :)
