I still have lots of greedy wins left in me. (Your dreams can't come true if you don't dream.)

For today's win, I want my house completely re-wired, with plugs and light fixtures where I want them, inside and out.

I'll take a see my GI this morning win. I have a couple more train stories; My wife and I were on our honeymoon and we took a train ride along the coast here in Maine,a beautiful Fall(Autumn)day. I got motion sickness and vomited over the railing from the last car as the romantic scenery trundled by...Ewww. She knew I was a keeper there and then.:thumright:

My wife and I took a train from Glasgow to Fort William in Scotland, that was nice. We also took a different train from Fort William to Mallaig, back to Fort William. My wife is a huge Harry Potter fan and train scenes were filmed on the run from Fort William to Mallaig. The train went over the Glenfinan viaduct that was featured in the movie,it was fun. I didn't get sick, the honeymoon trip was the only time I got sick on a train. Hmmm. Anyways, the conductors, engineer and fireman on our trip were the ones who ran the train in the movie. My wife asked if they would pose for a picture and I got a good one. They said we were the first people to ever ask for their picture. People usually are only interested in the train.

This was a few years ago when Harry Potter was more relevant. We also hiked Steall Falls in Fort William,Steall Falls was also in the movies. My wife has letters from Daniel Radcliffe in response to her writing him. They are even hand written. It was nice of him to return letters to crazy older lady's. She sent him some music and he actually sent a CD back to her that he was currently listening to.

Uggg...have to get ready to make the trip into the big city to make the appointment on time...I'll take a 'man,I can sure ramble' win along with a 'going to the GI' win...Win! and Win!.

We've spent a LOT of time in the Highlands of Scotland.A few years back they were filming a Potter movie up there, and we saw Hagrids house halfway up a hill in Glencoe.(our favourite place in all the world).....obviously,some of Braveheart was also filmed there.Actors and production teams from both movies were plagued by the dreaded "Midge". and Mel Gibson was advised to use Avon Skin So Soft oil spray.I've tried it and it works...... Winning

I love the scenery in Braveheart, going to have to go visit Scotland some day. As to Harry Potter, I was never much of a fan, probably because everyone else was, and I just have to be different I suppose (or just not much of a fan).
I like to use my imagination for other things, like all the prizes I'm winning here. Today I would like my unfinished basement completely finished, complete with media/family room, a shop for Doug's woodworking, and craft/sewing room for me.

Happy win to me!

(Oh, and Carol, I use Avon Skin So Soft every day because of my excessively dry skin and living in a desert. But I still attract all sorts of insects, I think it is because I'm so sweet )

Sandy I'm with you. The bugs are my number 1 fan. They have been all my life.

I went on a train from Wellington to Gisborne. I was 10 yrs old. I was knitting my first scarf. Needless to say it ended up being a holey one due to bumpy ride and being a novice knitter.

All the jumpers I knitted for my son,(when he was a little'un) had "holes " in them.
I knitted because I thought that what good mothers did.hahaha.
Only now do I realise that just thinking it,made me a good mother.I didn't actually have to make the damn things.

Back to the Skin So Soft, I have to add, I do think it helps some with the insects. As to knitting and crocheting, I think it has been more of a European trend in times past than here in the US, but I have enjoyed both at times in the past, tho never very proficient. Still, I haven't done any in a while, and just decided that a nice afghan would make a nice project in April when we go on our road trip (but, of course, it will take me a lot longer than that to make it.) Thoughts of happy projects to come!:ytongue:

I'll take a good lord I love to read your posts win. Thank you all for making my day. For my win I would like one whole day with my mom without alzheimers please - (not possible but a nice dream). So instead perhaps I'll take a trip to Wales and Ireland to see where my family is from. :D

It's my....... I've had my hair cut today , win.

Road sign USA.......Emergency stopping only.
Whale watching is NOT an emergency.....Keep driving !!!

Why, thank you Shanen!

It's my fixed a tooth yesterday and tried to sleep at doctor's office today win. For today's prize I will take Robert Redford and a formal dining room attached to my house, but open to the living room.

I'm steeling a Wednesday morning win because I feel like. I've been through so much since I was last on the site that I deserve the win. :medal1:

Wellllll, Sandy, look at my signature and see all the new stuff added. Check out this video on MTHFR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC-NAfB0qE4

I will absolutely take the win. You may keep the younger version of Robert Redford if you so choose. That's only because I'm real nice. :ylol:

I did notice the "MTHFR - Compound Heterozygeous" in your signature, which after googling it caught my attention because of my pulmonary embolism and lack of usual blood clotting factors associated with it. I have yet to watch the you tube video, but will be doing so soon. When will it ever stop for you, girlfriend? Hugzzzzzzzzzz!

For my win today I'd like energy to do things. Daniel Craig or Hugh Jackman could deliver my prize. But then I'd be back to square one again :)

I'll take over your everyone must be sleeping win, Trev. Besides the "fantasy" mentioned in your signature, what do you want for a prize when you win? And Duck, I must not be tall enough (although average to tall in today's standards at 5'7"), and since I didn't win Grumpy's prize, I'm looking for a new therapist.:ybatty:

My first tattoo. Win!

Not at all, haven't for months. Maybe we can "dream" about winning some. If I do find any, though, I'll share it with you.

Nice to see you listen to Dumbledore, Dave.

These words have helped me through some dark times this last year. They help me deal with my new normal and put things in perspective. Who says you can't find inspiration in the words of a fictional character?

There is a quote from Ron,after first meeting Hermione, that makes me think of my loving wife "mental that one,I'm telling ya". Kinda says it all.

Fatigue kicks my backside too. If I find a stash of energy I'll share.I'll look for some, right after this nap...zzzz...

Win!

Ok, am I missing something? Did Dave really misspell something, at least according to the Brits (i.e. is it ok in American English but not in British English?) It looked fine to me, although I'm not a fan of tats generally. To me, it's like putting a bumper sticker on a Mercedes. Still, I understand that others think it can be a thing of beauty, so I don't begrudge them that. And I certainly understand the sentiment behind your tattoo, Dave.

For today's win, I wish peace and prosperity upon all my internet friends.

A little ditty my mother taught me:

Whether the weather is cold,
Our whether the weather is hot,
We'll whether the weather, whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not.

Just like England are at cricket. Before you boys make smart comments on our team, know this. They achieved more than any previous NZ team. They gave a dying man a new life experience. I'm proud of them and the brand of cricket they played. They kept the spirit of the game alive in NZ :)

Sign on a golf course

Any persons (except players) caught collecting golf balls on this course will be prosecuted and have their balls removed !!!

Reward for my win is simple. A cure for Crohns and SandyUte to be cured of all her ailments.

Hi all. I'll sneak in a I'm at work win. Sandy, are you comparing me to a Mercedes? Sure beats a ford pinto. :D

Well,I was supposed to have two teeth out,a half hour ago....
But I was ill early on for an hour or three,so cancelled my appt.,......and lo and behold,I started to feel better soon after.......blast it.

Winning

Yep, Dave, you are definitely not a Ford pinto, nor is anyone here.

And since Doug and I are both cured, YIPEE! Outta here! Be seeing ya!
....

Oh, rats, Doug didn't get the memo about no medical things for prizes. I'm afraid you're all stuck with us.

Morning all, for my win today I would like a nice quiet room at a "far away resort" for a week or two - but only for a week or two. Someone will have to come a get me out after that please so I can snap back to reality after my zen like get away (like that's going to happen) - I hope that you all have a wonderful day and a lovely week

I'll second what Sandy said, although I will sympathize with theLittleDuck for a second or two, there done sympathizing, now I'm winning again

I hope you and Doug have a fabulous trip. You both deserve it after your last few months.

:eek:utahere::eek:utahere:One and a half days, and we're outta here

Not that you're counting the days or anything :dusty::dusty::dusty:

I hope we (Robba and Ducky) haven't done anything to upset you :frown:

Have a great time, stay well, laugh lots and travel safely (and come back,of course).

I wish I'd had my teeth out yesterday......I have to wait until the 15th for another appt.
Dratted belly ache !!!!

Morning all, Carol I hope you are feeling better soon (teeth and belly), Sandy have a good trip and everyone else have a happy day. Winning here anyway

My belly's fine,it just had to pick pre dental apt.to let me know who's in charge:frown:......I hope you're getting some time off for the Easter week-end Grumps.:thumright:

Carol, taking the week of April 5 - 11 off need a break - mini stay-cation. Clean my house go through some stuff, relax, read - you know. Not sure what is going to happen with my meds - am down to 1 pred but Humira and MTX not working without it so it could be interesting around here - ah well it keeps me on my toes. Forgot....Doug have a good trip too and Winning

I had to see a Rheumatologist on Monday for major stiffness in my hands and shoulders. He said my taper from Pred (3 months reducing 5 mgs per week) was too fast, causing the joint issues and prescribed 5 mg of Pred to fix it. Really?? Just before I refused the Pred for something so stupid he actually said maybe the stiffness was because my Crohn's wasn't under control. You think???? Maybe it has something to do with Remicade and we should check out? Nope. Pred will fix it. Uggghhhhhhhh. Maybe I should have been a doctor. :ybatty:

Ok vent over...back to regular programming.

17hrs Shanen !!! If you've been paying people to stay off the thread, you forgot little me.

For my prize today I wish you all a Happy Easter.Keep well,be happy and for those of you who feel the urge to Spring clean....(Grumps )...WHY ????

Have to go through my mom's stuff and put aside what is going to whomever so that I won't have to do it later and just generally get rid of some stuff (I have a "sibling" issue) so I thought that I would spring clean and kill two birds with one stone. Happy Easter everyone and I hope that all are content and healthy for the weekend and the coming days. Winning for now

Carol, I think I scared everyone away with my ranting. Temper tantrum is over, It's safe for all to come out to play. :dusty:

For those of you who feel the need to spring clean (Grumpy!) you can certainly come to my house and give it a good once over now that winter seems to be finally be fading away.

I'll pop in for a win Shanen. Happy holiday Doug and Sandy!

Mud season needs to finish before any Spring cleaning here. Had my enterography this week. No sign of stricturing. Woo hoo! I've developed diverticulosis since my last scan. :-( Oh well. Overall, good reults and encouraging.

Win!
