Sorry about the sore ribs Dave, and the ground being so far away K, and that the common thread amongst all here is a need to go to (blinkety blink) doctor appointments more than the general population, (I'll even include myself here tho, of course, for different reasons, but I do know this is a crohn's and colitis forum), but I am glad that you are all there (including Bobert, ~sigh~). :ghug: I had a dream earlier today that Shanen posted that she had gone back through and read LOW from start to finish and discovered that we all had many secrets disclosed in earlier posts. I had to read today's posts to make sure Shanen hadn't said that, and it was just a dream (one of those very real ones), and now can go back to the land of nod. G'night all. Zzzzzzzz.

MRI Enterogram tomorrow. Gotta be there by 6am for the lovely drink mixture. Never ending fun...so I win. For now. :smile:

I'm back! Steaks are marinating and all are invited to dinner. It's the once a year I'm cooking so be there or be square.
 
Doug ended up cooking (again), but the marinade was delicious if I say so myself (new recipe is a keeper). I tried to order your steak medium rare Grumps (my preference as well), but they all came in at medium well, Doug's preference. Since none of you showed up, we had to eat all of them ourselves (all two :rof:). I understand Carol baked some pies, maybe she will save us some for dessert tomorrow.
 
Hi all,I'm not staying as I really MUST get some reading done.Reading and walking are my fave things to do,but real life keeps interfering.I've been to the shops and as I don't drive I've had a couple of hours walking.There's a beef casserole ready for Hubs lunch,so I don't need to move until bedtime if I don't need to.Pies were delish,so I'm told by hubs and Geordie next door.Some in the freezer,so if you're popping in for coffee let me know and I'll defrost.Have a happy,pain free day all of you.Sending good vibes to you Shanen.
 
Thank you Carol. I'd much rather have some of your pies and Sandy/Doug's steak. It was poor planning on someone's part to put Imagine Services at the hospital next to the cafeteria. :voodoo:
 
Did i miss something? Why are you swinging fists Grumps? I hope the rest of your day goes better Shanen. At least the test is done. Rest well now. Carol, you sound like quite the cook! I'm of to cook potato salad to go with bratwurst for tonight. For today's win I get a day off from physical therapy (it wears me out - why I didn't finish cooking yesterday).
 
Haven't swung at anyone since I was 17, now I just lay them flat with words - that works better for me. Cheaper too from what I hear. Also seeing as I have an aversion to having a criminal record and I like to travel and don't like itty bitty little spaces with bars I think that physical violence would be a bad choice for me. So swinging physically is out but knocking them into the outfield verbally is definitely in.
 
I was going to pack away the winter woollies,hang up the summer stuff and sort all the unwanted stuff for charity........But I couldn't be bothered.

But I wish I had as it would be done now.....oh well.tomorrow is another day.

Well, today I went to what I thought would be a typical doctor's appointment at 1:30 pm. By 3:55 I had seen my doc, had an x-ray of my thumb (slammed it in the car door chasing a dog escapee - not broken), a chest CT with contrast done (always takes longer for me as my veins roll and collapse), an appointment with a cardiologist set up, and raced for my physical therapy appointment from 4:00 to 5:00 pm across the street. No wonder I'm exhausted! You can all win now, I'm going to bed. But I'm taking the win back for good in the morning. :)

Got the wardrobes (closets ?) and drawers sorted and also got a huge bag of books to go to charity as well !!! Feeling so smug and pleased with myself, I could crush a grape.

Hi there, I'm now on prednisone and antibiotics. Yesterday I caught an infection. I now have sinus, throat and chest infection. Back at work on Thursday. I resigned today, last day June 17. My body appears to reject my current work environment. I've got irons in the fire, friends ready to help. Seriously, I need a giant bubble!

Got my chest CT results back. PE (blood clots) are gone (YAY!), swollen hilar lymph nodes (nodes in chest that are not normally visable on scans) are decreasing in size from six months ago, YAY!
I win!
 
9-10am here so good morning all.I'm off to the supermarket for the weekly shop.
Another bank holiday coming up (Whitsun) so hopefully I wont have to go again until it's over.We are only a 10min walk from town so I can get bits and bobs if I run out,and we have what is know as "corner shops" 'round about.They're small general dealers.They were all we had before the days of big stores,but they're stuggling now.......Use it or lose it,as the saying goes.Toodles for now.Be good.

Whew, I thought you guys all left and left me by myself. It was really lonely....but I was winning for a minute and now I'm winning again for a minute
 
I've been busy sleeping. Doug has been busy with his work hiring new auditors for his department, and completely wiped out. One potential candidate even admitted to "cooking the books" :eek: :eek: :eek: for his former employer. Doug was also told to have an "emergency plan" in place in case I had a medical emergency during this time. I told him I do have one in place, if Doug is not around in an emergency, I'll call an ambulance, but if I end up in a hospital and Doug's boss doesn't let him go be with me, his boss may need an ambulance too. (I'm also thinking I have a reputation at Doug's work, I don't know what could have started that. :eek::yfrown:)
 
Good on you Sandy [emoji3] good to have the plans in place. I had a job interview today, so now we wait and see what they think. At least I tried and got short listed.
 
I'm planning a party Monday 1 June, it is a long weekend and we celebrate the Queen's birthday. I was thinking of putting on a high tea. What do you think?

Everyone enjoys a tex mex meal, go for gold. Anything goes after I saw a fried chicken wedding cake on Facebook this week.
 
Morning all, hope you all have a great weekend. High Tea sounds good Kirsty, we celebrated Victoria Day on May 18th weekend here. I'm having the "kids" from work over on Saturday to my house for Nachos and beer. I'm making the nachos they are drinking the beer. One of the guys is bringing homemade guacamole that his roommate from Mexico taught him to make and one of the girls is bringing a watermelon salad (?) and a chocolate cake. I'm doing nachos, a veggie tray and a fruit tray. Thought I might go to the butcher and get some pepperoni and stuff and have some meat and cheese and crackers too but don't want them to enjoy too much they might want to come back. Everyone wants to come sit on my deck because I have a swing and 4 big rockers out there. It should be interesting to say the least. :ylol2:

I've been nesting all day, tidied the cupboard under the stairs, spare room wardrobe is all sorted. Now I just need to swap some furniture and I will have created my perfect ladies lounge, yay!

Yes,it is good to potter about at will,getting things done.Then when you snuggle down in front of the fire with a book, you feel you've earned it.Our son is coming on the 18th for 4wks and I've made a list of things to do before hand.Most of it doesn't really need doing,but I'll enjoy the holiday with him more if it's done.How sad am I ??? I've also got the Gall bladder op.pending,so even more reason to keep on top of things........I'm going now,'cos I'm getting boring (again) but winning too.

Hi kirsty moving back into our house after 14 years living in the motorhome, so doing up the house. New bathroom and kitchen to start with. I will be a busy boy. What are you up to?
 
I agree with you Trysha. But why is it when I or another male comment on how pretty some one is, we get a hard time about being a sleaze or acussed of hitting on them. Double standards if you ask me when we are only paying the same compliment as you ladies???????

You're right, Carol, things are a might slow here on LOW lately. Maybe Kirst needs to do more glamor shots (and everyone is correct, you are beautiful), and I'll do those cartwheels to get things going. Hold on while I take off my oxygen tanks...
