I don't think so, but not sure. He might have been.

Its cold -8C (17F). But not too bad since there is no wind. But there is no sun too.. starting to miss the sun.

:getwell: :getwell: :getwell: :getwell:

This is the best I can do Sanni!!!

Hope it helps! Loves and hugs!!! Teresa:)

The snow has stopped but it is supposed to get to -1°F tonight (-18° C). Brrrrr! At least we get the sun in winter, although shorter daylight time. Also, it is not usually this cold. Too bad we can't send some of it Dusty's way.

Right now it is 5°F (-15°C).

AndWin!

:(Vent away! Sometimes a person just needs to. I am sooo sorry Trev. Like Teresa, I will keep you in my prayers. Are they just waiting for the stones to pass if I may be so personal? If too personal, just don't answer. It's just that all of you feel like a second family to me. I hope they've given you something that really helps with the pain. Tell Deb to take good care of you.
:ghug::sorry::medal1: You win for the day but get well so we can pick on you some more, okay?

ooooh.. Poor Trev. Feel better soon and try and get the most of your holiday anyways.

I am actually planning a holiday too. It seems me and my man may take an escape to see a bit of sun and fly to Tunisia. Sandy beaches. I like. Hope it works out. Just however realized my passport expires in a week so now I am hurrying up to renew it. And my US-passport has also expired so i suppose I might aswell get that one renewd too. Its just so expensive to do all that. Passports should be free. ;)

I guess you did, you sent a thankyou! Have a sunny day and hope all works out for that wonderful getaway. Sounds very romantic!!!

Just washed the pots and fed Alfie.Sitting on my recliner watching those that have to,scuttle up and down the street.Stopped snowing, but raining now.Hope it doesn't freeze.Us dog people are in jeopardy when it's icy underfoot. My friend broke her hip, walking her dog, last month and is still laid up.Can't walk the dog,do her basic housework,go shopping or drive. She's going NUTS.her computor is not working either. She's got a husband, but he's one of the usual sort, USELESS.He's getting fed up of being "told what to do",but he doesn't KNOW what to do unless he's TOLD.Rant over haha.........Winning

Carol,
I think you can get spikes for the bottom of your shoes. I would invest in some if it gets icy alot. You dog people:hug:. A young man brought a bejon-poodle mix in the lobby after church and it was the cutest little thing to see. Peach colored and so sweet. They don't shed at all. I would love to have one, but hubs says no beasts in the house!!!:(

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr! -4°F here at 8:30 in the morning. Can anyone believeI've been awake since 7:00 a.m.? Not like me. I do have to get ready for work, but not going until about 11:30, just in time to going to a restaurant as part of my job to eat lunch.

I've got spikes T.,thanks for your concern though.I think the pup would be a Bichon Frise x Poodle. Bichons are very popular over here. One of my friends had a couple.Mikes probably worried a pup would get all the attention, which of course it would. They can't look after themselves.Ones just this minute gone past the house, wearing a blue coat.Soaking wet,and the owner looked as sick as a parrot.:(

AWWEE!!! You're probably right about Mike. He used to get jealous of my love and attention for my kids and grandkids if you can believe that. They are boys in a big body!
I do love those dogs, don't know how to spell their name, but love them the same!

Bundle up Babybee and stay warm. Bee's usually won't go outside when it's cold! :eek2:So stay warm and have a great day. I lost the last 2 pms last night you sent saying goodnight. So if there was anything important, plz resend. I accidentally erased them!!! :eek2:Loves!:ghug:

trust me Teresa, it is not worth the work! (until you get one then you don't know what you would do without one)

I did have dogs early on in my first marriage and I do know all the work. I guess you forget in time. My first husband shot a dog we had because he wouldn't house break. I felt like shooting him! He took care of himself....

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! So cold here that my counter is cold, resting my arms on it, and my hands will not get warm....

LOL!!!! About to go sit in my car and turn the heat on, and the heat on the seat too! That would give me a few minutes of warm...

You Monitors will probably try to boss us lowly people around now. I bet you all chat on your private Monitors Thread - not that I care of course. Who is not a Monitor I can talk to?

Kylie will never stop singing to me.

Robert, how many times have I told you, that is not Kylie singing to you, it's one of the voices in your head...

Robert, I'm not a monitor, never wanted to be, never will. I avoid responsibility. But I've also noticed that you tend to show up when you think I'm gone. you'll have to keep talking to yourself.

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! So cold here that my counter is cold, resting my arms on it, and my hands will not get warm....

You need the change of life to happen~ You will never be cold again till you hit 60's!!! LOL!

I have spikes too. Right now the walkways are well cared for and actually dont need them, but there was a couple days not too long ago i could not leave the house with out them.

I have to say my dog changed my life. He is physical and mental therapy all in one little cute package. :ghug: Love him so much. Never had a dog before so all has been new with him. I remember the first night I came home with him and I had a friend with me to pick him up. But once she left I had a panick atack. I was sitting on the floor thinking what the &/(% did I do taking a dog and was barely able to breathe. And that has truly been the only time I ever had any similar thoughs. He has been a joy.

Sounds like what happens when you bring a baby home from the hospital:eek: (your first). You are pretty much terrified and not sure you are ready for this, and of course, how can you be till you raise one??? Then after awhile the joys start to outweigh :hug:the negatives and you fall madly in love with them; till they turn into teenagers. Then you want to WELL, let's just say strangle them!!!:eek2:

Glad dogs don't really turn into teenagers. ;)

You know, T, I was there for a bit, before my last Crohn's flare...I assumed the hot flasshes left me because I dropped weight so quickly, but they've not come back yet. I enjoyed 2 winters of not being so cold, it was great. Now, back to being cold....
I have always been an animal person. Just one dog now, growing up had 2 cats and 2-3 dogs normally. But Jessi is great, love my doggie! Makes me laugh, every day. She's warm to cuddle up too. Minds me better than my kids do, lol!

What kind of dog is she? Sounds really cute!!!

She is a "herding" dog, T. She looks just like a border collie, the vet can't believe she isn't one. But her mom was austrailain shepherd and her dad was blue heeler. All 3 are working/herding dogs, popular around here with the farmers. She is black and white, with light brown markings above both eyes that look like eye brows. Very smart dogs.

Sounds adorable. My brother has an australian sheperd who is on his last legs. He is 12 and a half alomost 13. Bogey (for golf) is his name. Poor old guy is really having trouble now. But he still has good days and even weeks. So my brother won't part with him yet. It would be so hard! Your doggy sounds very pretty too!:)

It is hard, one of the hardest things. I believe including the dogs that we had at home, I have been with 4 of them when it was time to put them down. My old roommate and great friend had always said that when it came time for her dog, she wanted me to do it. I had no idea that long after we were no longer roommates that she would still hold me to it, but she did, so when she called, I drove 30 miles over to her house and took her dog, then brought the dog back to her....drove 30 miles back.

Now, that is true friendship and you were such a blessing to her for doing that!

She is like a sister to me, more so than my own half sister, really. We met when we started the 6th grade. She quit school at 16, and we lost track of each other, the way things go. But then while I was in the later years of college, our then boyfriends began hanging out, our friendship outlasted the boyfriends, lol!

Girls are so much more loyal than guys in general. I can make friends with someone in line at the grocery store and know her whole life's history before we leave. We women, I'll tell ya!!!:ylol2::ylol2::ylol2:

LOL! Ain't it the truth? As I was typing that, I thought to myself, well, you know my family story anyway Teresa, I've already shared where I am with my siblings, so you know, my friends and in laws are better family than my actual family. Fine with that, at least God blessed me with great ones!

So true!!! I have great inlaws too and as much as I love my family, they are too judgmental.

Why are the skys clear at night but not durring the day. Sure.. the stars are lovely, but I would rather see the sun for a change.

Ya know that's a really good question!!!:eek2:
I think it's teatime and D medicine time again. Be right back!

Sneakin' in for a win...

Recouping from concussion still... Re-learned how to use a knife & fork together to cut food. Didn't know I had lost that skill until about two weeks ago. Sitting at the table with knife in one hand and fork in the other looking very confused. Didn't have a clue how to cut the food w/them. Just knew I needed the utensils. The family is still laughing about it. Good news! I have that skill down pat now!

Closed brain injuries, i.e. concussions, can bring on major depression and PTSD. It's been rough. My doc explained to me that when Depression and PTSD occur after a closed traumatic brain injury, it means the brain is healing. That it has located severed connections and is reconnecting things again. Even though we suppress some memories, as we should, so we can go about living our lives, the brain will find the loose ends and reconnect to them. Then we have to heal from the incidents all over again.

Dealing with a bunch of other issues due to the severe concussion. Please lift me and my family up in prayer. This has been rough. Still not allowed to drive. Bummer. Driving me nuts.

My daughter made the Dean's list at our local community college! Ya, hoo! She's amazing!

My daughter got a harp for Christmas. She paid for most of it. The rest came as gifts from family. The harp is so calming to listen to. So relaxing.... I love it. I'm so thankful she has been blessed by God with the gift of music.

Robert, there are voices in your head! Oh no!

Sounds like things are looking up Glori! God bless you for all you've been thru. We miss you on here and hope you can stay in touch more now. Your daughter sounds like an Angel!!!:ghug:

Morning Stu! Have a Dr.s appt. this morning, so you'll get the win again unless someone is kurking around. TTYL!!:)
