The thought of three more weeks is too much...
They have changed my sheets back to ones used for burns patients...I keep getting rashes with the regular ones so maybe I will sleep better tonight......hobgoblins and all...

Winter is on its way...snow not far off...
Then it's Christmas....
I want to get out and around the shops and freedom...

😂Trysha .. keep scaning you will see me flying in onto the helipad any minute. Hope your packed n ready to go . Are the nurse,s occupied else where ? I will be scanning the night sky to night...I have a huge window and a clear view of the night sky while lying in bed
Tonight there is a skull shaped meteor which is crossing into the Northern Lights....it will be quite spectacular ....I don't expect to see it but sometimes I see pigs flying by the window...so you never know
Sometimes the night sky has twinkling stars from a dark blue cloudless sky....lovely
Right now I would like freedom to do as I please
I no longer have any IVs or other unwanted devices that might mess up an escape route
Unable to walk on my own yet but getting there....one of these days I will surprise the lot of them.
Incisions are healing up quite nicely at last...one huge incision and five smaller ones
As I write this I have six maltesers and two treacle toffees aiding in concentration...gifts from my family in England....nothing quite like UK candies
I carefully ration and make them last......keeping some to share in the great escape....
Ready to go........where is everybody??

Zzzzzz, what? Oh, sorry there. Fell asleep for awhile. Didn't answer doors for trick-or-treaters tonight, and even fell asleep part of Utes game. Glad you have your supplies ready, Trysha. Somebody posted this U tube video of a circle rainbow over Niagra Falls on Facebook today, I took that as a signal it's time to come get you. Kind of like the bat signal. Trysha noway do u seeing flying pigs as well??? I thought it was just me 😀.Worry not i have english sweets in my backpack of the supplies we will need during the escape. I cannot function without them 😁. I love sweets n chocolate they save my sanity. "Well" you say "they dont really coz your as daft as a box of frogs mandy" n you would be right there hun. Could you imagine what i would be like without them 😨 I would be sectioned by now 😃

I've borrowed E.Ts bike Trysha,you can sit in the basket........That's as soon as I sort a pair of "Gel Pants" for myself,and a helmet and goggles, in case I have to pedal really,really fast
 
Quiet day here, as it often is on the end of a weekend (start of a week for some of you). Keep peddling, Carol. Trysha needs out now.
I hope you're coping ok Trysha, and you have a good support system there (besides medical). Those days must feel like eternity. But it will end soon. . .
 
I don't like to think of frogs in a box...they belong on the lily pads in a nice fresh pool...I like frogs and have a few in my apartment gifts from family.... Of course not live one but pretty ornamental ones
The Royal Botanical Gardens here had a fantastic collection of frogs of the world earlier this year
There were all kinds of colours but the most beautiful rainbow hued one quite a large fella
Emitted a poisonous venom that could kill animals and humans
There was also a spitting frog to deter enemies and also singing ones...
Never know what you might stumble over in the dark Mandy

Never heard of a circle rainbow but during my mother-in-law's funeral there was a double rainbow which is unusual.
 
I'm also a frog collector, lol, but don't have a good place to display them. I've been trying to decide what to do with them. They used to be hidden thru my plants in my kitchen garden window, but I decided the plants look better without them. What to do, what to do. ..
Doug has the motor running, just hoping we don't run out of gas. Don't worry tho, I'll make sure he gets away from the hospital fast.

After a heavy shower of rain in Aus,one night,we woke to frogs sticking to the outside of the bedroom window,with suckered feet.We spent a long time studying them.Brilliant.
On Saturday, while at the local farmers market,we saw a chap selling fresh juice using "pedal" power.He had his machine rigged to an ordinary bike on a stand.He looked like he needed a rest so I didn't buy one.A new foodie "craze" is fish finger sandwich stalls.Also,in London.breakfast cereal cafés have really taken off.Go figure !!!!

Often hubby and I will say "Is it just us"?.......Meaning of course,has the world gone mad,while we were sleeping. ;)
 
What about the fish bars where you put your feet in water and fish eat the dead skin off your feet. That's just nuts!

Hey there back Missy! I wrote that at almost 11:00 am,it was "legal"to be awake. But thanks for your concern. (My time schedule is often mixed up tho )💛💜💚
 
Thanks haha im a barrell of fun rolling down the rapids me hun 😀 i think it comes from being poor i cant afford spending spree's to cheer myself up. So i took the be a loony route 😂

I detest Ensure....far too much sugar and they sent two bottles chocolate flavour..even though I repeatedly tell them not to send chocolate flavour anything!! Sent it back with compliments..!

Good afternoon from misery guts. Having a "down in the dumps" day today..........

But winning always cheers me up, and the longer the better.

Just talked to my father. His caregiver, has a niece who has Crohn's Disease who is in some study and says she is doing better with the Crohn's Disease.
 
Our boys have arrived home from London this morning. Good on the people that went to greet them at 4:30 in the morning. Great that the airport ground crew gave them a Haka welcome in the pouring rain. Our little country did well to become rugby world Champs. We have 4 million people in NZ, when I was in Barcelona they had 4 million people live in that city. It's amazing, I think we are really lucky to have so much space.
Enough from me, time to win now.

Your guys have just been on the news arriving home.
I had a tear in my eye.And I'm not even a sport lover,but I will say rugby is a proper sport.
Boring here today,have had a run up to Tesco for a few bits and pieces,but only for something to do.I'm planning to do some reading now.We had lamb steaks with sliced potatos and dumplings for lunch and I'm done for the day.
It's 2-30pm here so I hope you're snuggled up and sleeping.Have you had your results since your 24hr fasting stint ?:ghug:
 
Good morning peeps. No rugby over here. I'm wanting to go back to sleep (what's new? ) but have to get ready for some visitors then go see the GI and complain about my squeamish stomach the past several months (still most likely diabetes meds) (and although this is just my annual check up with this doc so he will continue to prescribe my IBS meds. My how time flies.)

Carol, I miss Tescos and Asda. I like those shops. I haven't heard of my results from the second lot of testing. My appointment is the 23/11 I am hoping she will phone me before then.

I think caught a glimpse of you on Google street search Mandy,as for Trev.,well I won't even go there !!!........Just been for my flu jab.

Hubby's got "man flu" so I've stocked up on Lem Sips and cough medicine,just to shut him up.

Today was a repeat of yesterday in the patient kitchen similar to home kitchens open frig door take out paper towels at different levels place on counter close frig door all without
Toppling over.....success...sure I could have done it without the walker...

I know I have to stay till Nov25th...hoping I can get out sooner for good behaviour.....
Had my third parcel from England....wonderful care package...loads of assorted candies and some M&S tea cakes etc handy when food is not to my taste.
Meal replacements drive me mad?......

Well, it seems I complained a little too loudly at the GI doc yesterday. Since he has had me do a stool test as apparently infections can sit in small intestines with diabetics because nerves get damaged that push things along. (I guess I can say "stool test" here.) It took two hours worth of time to drop the sample off because I had to go thru the hospital lab and thru their "admitting" process. Just to drop the stinkin' sample off. :stinks: He also scheduled another upper endoscopy to make sure I don't have any ulcers, etc. causing or contributing to my nausea. (I had one less than a year ago on an overnight hospital stay, but he wants his own testing done. At least he can stretch my Schatzki ring while there to make swallowing easier.)
 
Haha damn that google 😈 aw bless him you know he will milk it dont you , they all do . My sons just asked me for lemsips 😃 oh dear the pharse in the same boat applies here me thinks . Glad im at work all day outa the way !!. 💕💋
 
Good Morning Crohnies and Sandy.........Waiting for the man to come and do my annual boiler safety test.They said between 8am and noon.I HATE waiting for people coming.It's invariabley closer to noon too.But if it was noon 'til 5pm I would still complain.
It would be great if we could all get our innards checked and repaired annually and they would give us a bit of paper saying "that's you done 'til next year ". hahaha

Seems to me that doctors appointments have now become my social life
Others must feel the same
Hopefully it will extend our lives and make living more comfortable in the long run
It has been another l-o-n-g night and the room temperature is so cold...they bring hot blankets which only last a few minutes and it makes the bedcovers so heavy....and then it's back to cold again.cant win..
It is a negative pressure isolation room so as to confine all known germs including MRSA
I am still carrying it thanks to some careless hospital staff.
Can't wait to get home
