Nice job Sandy! Hope you feel better Carol. Prepping for my family's thanksgiving dinner tomorrow at my house. There will be 16+ so I'm trying to get some done today.

Hi all, the champs here !!! Having been a bit "off" lately I decided that instead of waiting to see how I feel tomorrow,I made an apt. to see the Doc.My usual GP is not in next week and the earliest apt.is for NEXT Wednesday,with a stranger.Of course I might feel better by then,but I will go none the less.I think I'm in a flare so don't want to take chances.

Be good or run fast.

I can't win, not feeling too well either.😩 I feel like I just move from one malady to another. I'm glad I have the option of a "walk in clinic" so I can get treated for a UTI today, instead of next week, (never sure what doc will end up with that way), but also still suffering from nausea, only some foods sound half way good, and list is getting shorter. Wish my stomach would shrink with my weight. Want to know where the water I drink is going also (besides my stomach). Gripe over, for now.

I am in the same position as you since my GP is away...but I have so many specialist appointments that I can't fit him in till January 5.........so sad!! Too bad ,,,,,,
My follow up appointment with the GI is next Monday....by far the most important.

I am doing really well right now but get tired very easily....glad to be in my own bad but still hard to sleep properly....good to be a free spirit though.
Quite a few appointments with physio,OTs and recreational therapists to get me used to the real world again.Rather tiring though all these appointments.

Snap on 5 jan Trysha that's my endocrinologist apt. Day. On Monday I'm back at hospital for fasting and hypo test. And more blood tests. This time they have an exercise machine for me instead on walking and doing stairs. Oh what joy!

GI scheduled another MRE. Best to get it in by the end of my insurance year. What a sad lot we are some days. Good not to be alone. :)

Good news day,the dental specialist says I can proceed to part two of teeth implants
This was delayed due to the hospital stay.
It will make such a difference for eating.....
Still find it very tiring in the real world.....it is also taking time to become used to my apartment again...so quiet after the hospital noises.
The freedom is lovely........no longer feel guilty having a shower every day.Shower power......
The things we take for granted..........until they are taken from us.

This world is getting to be a very ugly place. My heart and prayers go out to those involved in the San Bernardino shooting. Doug works in a government office building very similar to the one there (but on a smaller scale), including sharing office space with the Division of Services for People with Disabilities, or DSPD (which ironically funded both of our foster kiddos.)
Recovering from, well, everything today. He informed me they do occasional "active shooter" drills there. Sad.
I think the key (to life) is to be appreciative for everything good we do have. We are relatively comfortable in our home in Kaysville, and have the necessities. We are blessed.

Deserts can be cold too. We live in the second driest state in the US, just behind Nevada. I want to know who can handle the extremes of cold and heat we can have in one day? (The diurnal temp.) I win again!

My confidence dissipates when you lot try to take the win.I mean come on,give a girl a chance will you ?.....No,I thought not

I'm going to bake a meat and potatoe pie if anybodys interested.Served with delicious gravy.And there's fruit and cream for afters.........Winning with style....Got my bike today,so I might be winning with scraped knees soon. hahaha

Good morning all, things are improving and I see a small glow at the end of the tunnel. That deserves a win.

Well I had a good trip with my blood sugars 8.7 to 13.5 to 2. While completing 10 kilometres on a cross trainer. I was so stuffed I feel asleep for the last hour of the test.
 
I called my doctor"s office earlier and the first appointment was in January. I explained my symptoms. They called me back. Now, I have an appointment this Thursday.
 
I'm b-a-c-k! Just tired of being sick, and even tired of complaining about it. Will be glad when I can eat better again, and hoping my sleep patterns of late improve. Even Allie was not well yesterday, but she is much perkier today. I guess I'll keep on posting and complaining tho. With that, I am winning!!!! (?) :ybatty:
