Hi all hope your all good today 💗

Well, having been "under the weather" (Geordie speak for not well)for 3-4 weeks, I feel good today.
I have a docs. apt.tomorrow which I made 10days ago.so of course I will go.
I still have niggley pain in front of my left hip,and on the right where my gall bladder used to live .

SandyI'm relieved to see you back.Take good care of yourself and belly rub for Allie.(and Doug,if you like):ghug:

Look, all of you......let's get this straight. I am winning OK ?

But,always make a total effort, even if the odds are against you.

It's not the winning that counts.......who am I kidding,of course it's the winning that counts.

WINNING

GI assistant apt tomorrow (doc couldn't get me in himself until January) because I'm tired of not eating (nausea not getting better), losing weight, and feeling weak.:sign0085:

With my continued whining I am winning. :hallo3: Allow me that one little pleasure for now.:p

It sure is. Time for my glass of water and then back to bed for me. I slept most of the night last night. It's a miracle. Winning.

I win we are off to Christchurch for hubby's graduation. He's now got his Masters of Engineering in Transportation. I'm ever so proud of him.

Hey all, sneaking back in the for win. Hope you are all doing okay. Congrats to your hubby Kirsly. Carol, how are you feeling since the last time I was here? Hey Mandy, how's it going? Hi Trev. How's work Shanen? How are you feeling Trysha, do they have you back on the go yet? How are Dave and Robert doing? Hi Ron and Om3Ga1 if I missed anyone sorry and I hope that you all have a great weekend. Thinking happy thoughts for all.

Congratulations to your husband Kirsty...how lovely for you to share
Hi Grumpy....I am progressing fairly well with outpatient physiotherapy, occupational therapy and recreational therapy all of which is designed to get me back on my feet and able to cope with the outside world after the lengthy two month sojourn in a state of splendid isolation!!!
It is quite an experience to go shopping......like a zoo.....I can't stay long in any store too much noise and pressure....it is getting slightly easier the more I try.
In fact it's very trying..,but I will get there.
I can't believe it is Christmas and I have done nothing yet.
I do enjoy my freedom though.
Hope you are feeling better
Winning.....

Trysha, glad things are at least improving. I haven't done a thing yet myself for Christmas, been too sick. In fact, I just spent a couple hours in the ER getting hydrated, anti-nausea meds and they even gave me morphine for the pain. Happy girl right now! Best I've felt in a very long time. Have an abdominal CT with contrast scheduled for next Friday to hopefully give me some answers. (I've now lost over 30 lbs!) Also have an Rx for anti nausea (and my throwing up) which should help immensely until they figure out what is going on.
This rant is actually a hopeful rant.
Kirsty, congrats to hubby!
Grumpy, nice to see you again.
Love and hugs to all. ❤

Enjoy the drugs Sandy, they can't arrest you for it :ghug:

Sandy's on drugs?

According to my doc's office, I have 15 different kinds of meds 😨 (including some supplements like vitamins) I take on a daily basis. So yes, I'm on drugs. Add the PRNs, like pain killers, and temporary meds like when I have an infection, it can really add up. No wonder my tummy is being eaten alive. 😨😨😨😨😨😨😨

The champ's back for a quickie win.
We're going to walk into town (10-15mins) to the Victorian Christmas Market in the square,
then home along the river (walking not swimming hahaha). There's a chicken korma in the slow cooker for later.Don't know if I'll eat though.Maybe soup and toast for me.
Be good if you can,if not, hide.

Sounds like a lovely walk Carol.....Wish I was there
What is chicken korma? Doesn't sound very English...
Where has all the snowfall gone?
Winning.........

The white stuff is hail about 1 cm in diameter. It hailed for 20 mins it was quite impressive and very loud.

Ativan - got me through a 2 hour MRI on Friday. Why did no one tell me about this before??

It was with the lovely contrast barium and my system doesn't move thing so well anymore. They always have to give me more and wait for it to process. Not so great with claustrophobia but the Ativan was amazing!

Ah right. Well god bless Ativan.💕

Mild Indian curry (my way)

Chicken thighs, fried with onions and mushroom and tomatoes, chilli flakes, curry powder.Simmered in coconut milk.
It was good, but I could only manage a few mouthfuls. My appetite's not what it was.I prefer to graze.Hubby and the neighbour enjoyed it though.

Thanks for the info Carol
I used to like all the curries and hot stuff....alas those days are over thanks to the GI gifts we have been given.... one small meal a day is all I can manage the rest is fluids.
Hope it will change as the surgery continues to heal
It's lovely to get out for walks...still can't take the noise and crowds in the stores
Winning.......

Sorry you had such a hard time Shanen...but at least it's now over and hopefully will provide lots of information that will benefit you in the longer term
Feel better soon

I don't much like shopping at the best of times, but it's a definite no-no at this time of year,So I can understand your aversion Trysha, after your time in solitary hahaha.
Luckily we don't "do" Christmas at all,so I don't have to worry. As long as the freezer and store cupboards are stocked,I'm happy.

Winning with aplomb

Not a fan of Christmas shopping myself. Haven't gotten through most of my list yet. Well, I don't even have a list yet. It just seems too commercial lately and I can't quite seem to get in the mood. No worries, I have 11 days to go. :ywow:

Thanks for the kind thoughts when I complain about the MRI. Seems manageable now and it's usually a mostly painless test but when I think about it I get the cold sweats and stomach drops to the floor.

I'm another one who doesn't care for holiday shopping. And if I take my anti nausea pills you can add another four hours of already too much sleeping, or back to my nausea and throwing up. We also just had our first big snow storm of the year, time to stay in anyway. I'll play scrooge this year. Bah, humbug! (But the snow is pretty!)

I'm not a Christian but I cannot abide the buy, buy, buy forced on us from early November.TV ads, newspapers and TV programs, telling us what to buy, what to eat,how to dress, where to go etc.etc. And folks it only costs £££££ $$$$$s.Christmas should be a happy family time, not about who bought what for who and how much it cost.Millions of people worldwide haven't even heard of Christmas and countless people who have ,will be cold, hungry, lonely or unhappy.Especially children and the elderly.

So, I'm happy to let it go unnoticed. (don't I go on when I get started hahaha)Winning

While I am Christian, this to me does not represent what the holiday is about.
