I had to look up what half of you Brits were saying. :ywow: I didn't understand your English. :rof:
Lighthearted music really can make fun times better, and hard times sometimes even, well ... fun. :)
With that, I am winning.:dusty:

:rof: Sandy did you not know we are part of the 'lets confuse the rest of the world club' ... and with that im not winning or am i , i might be oh dear now im confused.. 😆

I belong to that club too! What a small world. :ylol:

I've been untangling 10 years of my job duties and training someone new to fill my job position while I'm on leave of absence for surgery. What an experience this week has been.

Oh that sounds like fun Shanen.. not !!. 😯
So glad you are in the club too hun. It is a small world, but i tell you what i wouldnt like to mow it :rof:💕

Glad to see you back eyneverskcud. Hope you stick around LOW (last one wins), we tend to scare others off. Sorry you didn't feel more productive today, believe me, we've all been there (or are still there).

I'll saunter in for another win. Trysha,'Super Market Mayhem' for a book title? To obvious?

Diverse adversity are my middle names Dave
There have been incidents in my life that beggar belief
As an example being new immigrants we had a few mistakes in choice of apartment so we decided to lash out on a high end one
The owners wanted to know which banks we had in the Uk. Etc
First incident a pyromaniac lighting fires in the parking lot in the black of night.
Second incident a drug peddler for a neighbour...we had complained of the noise, people screaming in the middle of the night etc
He hid drugs and a gun in the front foyer.
He was caught and jailed
Turns out he spent previous ten years in San Quentin for murder.....
To think we were asked for our UK banks.....
See what I mean.......you will have to buy my book for more....when I get around to writing it.
Winning........

Holy gaucamoley !!😨Trysh.. iv put down my deposit on the book already. Crikey girl that will be some read, unfortunately as it sounds you really have had a rough trot of it girl. Love n hugs 💕💋

Very lazy day after no sleep last night. I've just shot myself with my jab.

I've no idea.I sent him an email at xmas and also one on his birthday last month. No reply, which is worrying.I mean he knows he has to have a note if he's absent.
But joking apart,if you're reading this Robert, please let us know you're ok.

Hey Trev, it's another hot one here. May go for a swim between innings of the cricket.

Maybe you can have a new swimming pool for a runner up prize Trev.
I finally had follow up to colonoscopy and was told nothing of structural significance or major significance found there.
Good luck with your surgery Shanen. May I be snoopy? I guess I've missed what they are doing. No matter what, you will be in thoughts and prayers.
Trysha, hope you are recovering quickly from latest scare.
I hope the rest of you are faring as well as can be.
In the mean time, I'll take the prize and quietly sneak away...

"Ileocecal Resection" is the official title Sandy. Great news all is good with the colonoscopy.
Be safe Trev. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Morning all......Did you know that botox, used to smooth skin, contains tiny amounts of the toxin Botulinum, one of the most deadly substances known to man ?

I think I'll keep the wrinkles,when I get any,that is !!!

Winning, with a skin as smooth as a baby's bottom :rof::rof::rof:

Good Morning to Everyone
Thoughts and prayers are with you Shanen...so sorry you have to go through that
Good news Sandy..that's one less for you to worry about
Carol you have such interesting information....years ago I worked in the Uk researching different methods for toxin extraction from certain anaerobes,Clostridium botulinum was one of them .
Some bacteria have therapeutic uses.
Sprinkles of sparkly snow here today although the temperature is gradually increasing
Lovely weather for brisk walking....
Winning.....

I knew you would know about it Trysha.I hope your trauma has subsided somewhat.
Of course,it has to hasn't it or they've won.Don't let the buggars get you down.

The hospital programme has been extended for me to include stress management
The first session I attended not without some misgiving and when I heard the bad experiences of others in their medical journeys I was simply appalled.
So when I was asked how I coped with stress I went to previous episodes in my life when I had the resilience of youth and actually had those people laughing instead of weeping..there were two tearful patients.
One of them said she always admired the British because they are so stoic and always came up laughing.
I thought to myself ......little do you know of the recent inner turmoil that I have experienced.
I did not relate the stories of the thefts...too much of a downer for the group
The occupational therapists run the classes and are so well balanced and good at controlling the meetings.,I had them laughing also.
I believe my place there is to support others and in so doing help myself through the traumatic events.
Life is good at throwing curves...ounce of help is worth a deal of pity
Plus I have very supportive friends here on LOW .......
Laughter is the best healer I find....even though it's not easy.
Remember Vera Lynn...Chin up,Cheerio,Carry on.
Winning....

Or.....pick yourself up,dust yourself off and start all over again.:rosette2:

and "give a little whistle"....:whistleinnocently:

Spread a little of that good cheer Allie's way, would you? It seems that the other day after I threatened to give her away on the weather thread, she became quite ill and her tummy growled louder than I have ever even heard Doug's crohnie tummy growling, and grumbled and growled all night. She did this once before recently and got over it quite quickly then, so I hope she does it again. She is even refusing food or treats right now. Poor baby.
I did like the attitude going around this morning tho. Gotta go get ready for some company coming soon. :sun:
(Good luck again Shanen for Monday. Doug was so much better after his resection. :rosette1: )

Good luck for operation Shannen, and for a good recovery.
Just had yum Cha and celebrated the Chinese New Year. Also went to Te Papa for a look around. Now back for a rest and then a swim in the sea [emoji38][emoji1303][emoji160][emoji305][emoji274]☀️[emoji481][emoji898][emoji484][emoji509][emoji517][emoji1397][emoji1398]

Aw hope Allie is ok Sandy.

Thanks for the well wishes. Starting to get nervous but really just want it over with.

:rosette2:I'm sending hugs Shanen and you know we're all here for you. It's the waiting that's always the worst.Once you get through the doors it's out of your hands,so just relax and let the staff look after you. We'll look forward to your "after"post. :ghug:

Lots of hugs prayers and best wishes for you Shanen....we will all be thinking of you tomorrow.
It will be over before you know it and move to recovery mode.,sometimes easier said than done but you will be fine
Are you near the Mayo Clinic? Or further afield in Minnesota
We have driven there a few times.
I had to go for a three day meeting there once when I was working.....it's very impressive
Winning.........

Meditation
In the depth of humility lies greatness
Standing on a high mountain one can see far beyond to other ranges
Shining with splendour in the sun
Anxieties of decisions transformed to hope and confidence
We have authority and inner peace to give life
May we have wisdom and perception to know which task is ours
To risk everything to use the gifts God gave us
Wisdom is bright and does not grow dim be on the alert for her
And anxiety will quickly leave you.For we are children of light
Meant to live with our eyes opened not stumbling in the dark.
Self reverence,self knowledge,self control.
How difficult it is to be a responsible person,
A lot of work to say what we mean simply and clearly.
To decide the code by which we want to live
And to live it without equivocation,is this not maturity?
Mature integrity (wisdom) that comes from doing
Only what we know is right......Saying what we believe to be true
Humility and awareness of dependence on God
And being open to Gods grace.

Love to all 💞

Guess I was not good enough for the medics and teams then Mandy....

I absolutely love your writing Trysha.
But I say, so long as you are getting better, Shanen, go ahead and give them a hard time at the hospital.
It has been a gloriously sunny Sunday, and Allie is back to herself again. It may be just me, but I can't help but wonder if some neighbor (one in particular) has been giving Allie something not good for her. I hope not.
But all is right with the world today.

Hi Everyone
Hope you are all having a good day
It's an overcast day here with hints of sunshine...and dire forecasts of s.n.o.w....".......
Best get on with the housework...
Visiting England soon..won't put the date since the pickpockets might take note.........

Hi Shanen.....thanks for the post.....they will have set you up with pain Meds make good use of them while you can
The first three days are hardest then it gets better...but it's no walk in the park either.
You will soon be feeling better.
Taking the win for you....
Winning....

Day 1 is over. I know the pain will get worse before it gets better. Making use of the pain medication pump. Every 6 minutes.

Glad you know to take advantage of the pain meds when you can. I was pleasantly surprised you had posted already, but I also know that lying around the hospital (I'm sure Trysha can really tell you all about this) gets very old, very fast, even when not able to move around on your own. Sending healing thoughts.
🌼🌻🌸🌹:kiss::rosette2::getwell:

Good to hear from you Shanen. In respect of your stitches/sutures I will endeavour not to say anything "funny" for a while.Try to enjoy being idle and enjoy the drugs.

Shanen, I hope things are going well for you. I remember my post op from my surgery. I actually felt better the day after surgery than I did the day before.

Hi all. Now iv not being getting updates through yesterday ???. Not sure why !!. Nor so far today iv had to find this via new posts. Any ideas anyone ? .
Hope all are as well as can be ☺☺💕💕💕

Check thread tools at the top right and make sure it says subscribed.

Laughing at your posts Carol. It keeps me sane some days. I have a pillow to protect my stomach because an unexpected sneeze yesterday taught me to be prepared as it was very painful.

I'm having problems too Mandy. When I press the Post quick Reply box,my screen goes blank,I then have to press the crohns thingy (sorry, page not the only blank)to get back onto the forum. My posts go through ok though.

It's a lovely day,so we're off for a cycle.Hope you're improving slightly Shanen x

Also having my page go blank and have to refresh page to get it back the last day or two. I haven't had new notifications in quite some, probably weeks. I press the "quick links" tab to find the subscribed threads, etc. and just go from there. I really should have followed up on my lack of notifications ages ago.
I like your smile, Shanen. Keep healing, and no coughing or sneezing.
The rest of you just keep on keeping on, while I keep on winning.

Same events here.....
Could it be a website problem.....needs the experts to drop by
Glad to hear you are improving Shanen......the pain gradually gets less..
Winning....

Good thing it's back
We take so much for granted when things go smoothly....how upsetting when they don't..
Quite a blizzard here yesterday but now the sun is brightly shining on a bitterly cold day
Hope it warms up before I leave for a physio appointment this afternoon.
Just seen the forecast for arctic conditions approaching for the afternoon.....just my luck...
Winning......

A couple of cold days here and then temps warm up a bit. Everything is so grey and gloomy, some sunshine would be great to see.

Not yours either Mandy.....but have a good day both of you...
The iceman came.....bitter winds and arctic cold
Winning.......

Hey everyone, another hot hot day here. A shark washed up on the beach in a net yesterday. That made local news, how exciting. We have sharks in the water and cows grazing in the paddocks, who would've thought? Egbert gets ultra sounded on Tuesday and I have appointment with neurologist on Thursday avo. It's an expensive week!

Way to win cookie cat! Welcome to the crazy corner of the forum. If you can stand it here, you'll find we can actually be quite supportive of each other, but the win is mine.

Hi Shanen, oh I bet you are glad to be eating some thing solid again, that's good news means things are going well. Hope you can feel better for a long long time hun. Love n hugs 💖
I'm winning for now. ☺

And I'm losing controooool, but enough about my bowels.

Kirsty,we've had about 9 whales wash up down in the south. It's so sad.Looks like they lost direction for some reason and ended up in a narrow channel.Tests show they hadn't eaten in a while. They're fairly common in the north west.

Winning before a trip to the supermarket.Anybody need anything ?

Cheers Everybody
Good to see you all in fine form today...errr.speech wise that is..
Feel better soon Carol ,Shanen,Kirsty, Sandy...
Icy cold again today...don't need to venture out..
Nearly StValentines Day....
Winning......

Don't be daft Mandy.......if my hubby bought me a Valentines anything,he be in trouble.
It's a load of rubbish. But of course that's just my opinion.I don't need proof he loves me.The fact that he lets me in the front door says it all.Or maybe that's just because he likes my housewifery skills.Winning in my PJs.nighty-night all.

Oh Carol you n your pj, s ha ha. Your as bad as me, I'm in mine too 😀
You know what I couldn't care less about valentine's day either even when I was in a relationship. Good night old chum 😴😴
