Hello Everyone on a cold cloudy wintry day
Good to see you Grumpy...I am progressing if a little slow at times...trying to run before I can walk...
Everyone seems to be so lively today so I will chip in with my contribution
Did you know that a butterfly denotes renewal and rejuvenation....the ability to bounce back from setbacks or disappointments......they stand for beauty and metamorphosis symbolizes
The human soul.
Just thinking.......and winning...
Winning........

Hi, it's jab weekend so I'm stuffed. Egbert is just a lipoma so the nurse said so that's good. I don't have Parkinson's disease, so that's great news. Just having some blood tests re copper in the blood. If I get worse I see him again in three months. So I'm still breathing in and out. :)

Hi all, this will be my 3,500 post.
Trysha that describes me very well, I am like a rubber ball always something I have to bounce back from lol. Glad you are improving hun.
Kirsty glad you have had good news with Egbert and the parkinsons, that must be a great relief hun.
Love n hugs to all 💕
Oh yeah I am winning, 😁

But I am....
There is a lull in the cold weather it's now a balmy 2C and expected to rise to 7
Very sunny...maybe I will get a tan while out walking....."just saw a pig fly by the window...
Winning......

Am i winning now ,please i look so pretty as a butterfly...im fluttering my eyelashes here in hope it works.

No chance, fluttering lashes don't do anything for me.
Now if you offered to clean my oven every so often,I might consider it.

What was that Trysha said about flying pigs ? Oh well,I win again...

Il clean your oven once a month for the win Carol. :rof:

Talk about desperate !!!!

I did mine the other day and my neighbour asked how much I would charge to clean his oven and my reply was "Geordie, you couldn't afford me":ylol:
Even though I never leave it so long that it's a chore,it's still a chore.:sign0085

winning with a sparkling oven :dusty::

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....
Remember Narcissus.........
My oven is clean but the kitchen floor could use a wash.....
An ounce of help is worth a deal of pity....meals with food of choice provided for helpers
Winning....

You're not the only desperado Mandy.Because the oven is clean I refuse to cook for the old man for the foreseeable future. He's getting fed up with sandwiches and cereal.
Just kidding hahaha. In any case, the prodigal son returns in two weeks, and I don't want him to think my standards have dropped. So my problem is going to be.......clean oven or cooked meals ???? Hhmm !!!

I don't mind floors Trysha,in fact I've got a reputation here a bouts of being a grand little scrubber !!! :lol2::lol2::lol2:

I guess it's time to use my "self cleaning" feature on my oven. And scrub my floors. Allie woke me up a little bit ago by sitting on my already sore (from coughing) chest and looking at me as if to say "aren't you going to get up?" I am now. And I have now given Doug my flu. (Who's going to cook?)
I'm enjoying the prize for winning tho.

Hi Sandy, well as I am doing carols oven and Trysha's floor I might as well do your cooking. No rest for the wicked eh!!
Hope you and Doug get better soon as 💕

That would be awesome Mandy! (Maybe if I quit being so wicked there wouldn't be as much need to rest :rof:)

You do a nice sparkling clean floor Mandy...doesn't take long being apartment size compact kitchen.......although it is a large apartment..loads of airy space.
Helps when you can fly in and out.
Next time we'll take a trip to the Falls....Niagara that is...for a reward treat...you will like it
You can go for a ride on the Maid of the Mist and it sails right under the Falls
Or if you are not a sailor (like me)
you can walk under the Falls as a special treat...or you can do both.
now for something totally different....
Winning

Trysh you could eat your dinner of it after iv done... il flutter in and crack on with the cleaning.
Oh il be up for both at Niagara,im a game old bird lol. 😃😃

I would be quite happy if the fairies came in during the night and cleaned and cooked for me. I would leave a list and they could tinkle a little bell when they're all done and leaving. But being me,I would have to give the place the once-over,BEFORE they come.
I wouldn't like them to think I was a lazy, scruffy human, even though I'm happy to let the fairies clean and cook for me. ......Dream on Carol.dream on.........winning

Haha you sound like my nana, when she worked full time she had a lady clean a couple of days a week. She got up early on those days n whipped round first. Lol. Xx

Hello all, I'm glad you are all alright. Funny I cleaned my oven last weekend. And yes Sandy for now my mom is still with me, may have to make a change in the not so distant future but for now we are maintaining the status quo. I'm down to 3 pred a day as of today for the next couple of weeks then 2 then 1 then none. The trade off is that I'm back on MTX and currently am on an antibiotic for an infection in my jaw. Have to have posts implanted in my top jaw am a little worried about that one but I'm sure it will be fine. Entyvio seems to be working for me according to my last scope and the hope is that it will continue to work after the pred is gone.
Will stop torturing you guys but I missed you..... Winning

Oh hope the jaw infection goes quickly n that all continues to go well with the meds working for you.
The torture is not when your here but when your not,we miss you. Take care n keep well 💕💕

We must have been carved from the same block of stone Carol....
It's a balmy 4C here....quite a heatwave for this time of year.....can rapidly turn into snow
however so best enjoy it while it's here
Has anyone in England heard of Mucillium....I tried looking on Boots site...they don't have it. It's Psyllium husks finely powdered.my GI prescribes it.
Thought I might be able to avoid packing and travelling with it.
Just a few more weeks and I will be over there.
Winning.......

Il see if i can find out for you Trysh. Woo hoo nearly time now hun. Bet u cant wait 💕💕

Were is it your staying hun. Iv had a look on google but no joy. Going to ring my chemist tomorrow to see if they do it and if there is a branch near where you will be. X

Thanks Mandy
Hi Grumpy...sorry you have dental issues...I have had quite a time over the last few years.
Despite all the surgeries, other than dental,I have survived and so did the teeth implants,
even though the process was interrupted with the abdominal surgeries.
The implants have been successful, over a year old now and the process for Implant assisted dentures is now complete.
The upper teeth are great but a few problems with the lower due to infection...but healing is almost there, every day is an improvement...slow but sure.
As far as your implants are concerned I think they may feel it necessary to wait till the infection clears up.
Hope everything goes well for you.
Winning.........

Also familiar with infections during implant process, but oh so worth it in the end. Still recovering from flu, sinus infection and bronchitis, but getting better. So I'm winning.

No probs hun , just need to know town(pm me if u prefer) to check if they have a branch there for you 💕💕

Hi Mandy...your comments are happening between non relating posts...I have just caught this one.
I wil be in Hertfordshire....afraid to be more specific....
A bit paranoid since the robberies....and a little nervous of travelling.
I will have escorts at both airports...just have to cope with the flights.
Thank you for checking...
Winning....

Try Holland & Barrets Trysha.I use their Pysillium capsules and they also do the powdered form in tubs.

Hi Trysha, my chemist has had look re the mucillium but can't find anything. He thinks it may not be available in the uk. I can only suggest asking your GP if he knows if it is available here. I will keep googling to double check. Hugs 💕

Hello Mandy
Thanks for all the efforts....I believe it is not available in the UK,at least under that brand name....but thank you so much for trying.
The company that makes it is Montreal based and maybe only sells in Canada.
Carol ....thank you for the suggestions,I had not thought of Holland and Barrett and they are right in town in St Albans.
It helps to know that you are taking the psyllium and I will probably get it there.it saves carrying a big jar of it and maybe running into difficulties with customs.
Another lovely sunny day here but deceptively cold...I intend to go for a walk shortly
Mustn'T miss the good weather and bracing cold...
Winning.......

Ha ha ha Shanen....
Good to see you feeling better....I hope
Don't be doing too much too soon....
Winning.....

Hi trysha. I had thought of holland n barrett . But b4i could mention it,my sister came for me to help her build my nieces new captains bed. So iv been playing bob the builder for the last four n half hrs .lol😃

Guess I better go press the button for the self cleaning oven. Allie says hello.

You are most welcome Trysha, hope you have a brilliant time and a safe trip, and enjoy your break from this mad house

Hi Sandy, I'm sorry but I am coming to dognap Allie lol. She really is too cute.. Hope you and Doug are doing OK. 💕

Good morning all...Shanen,never mind peer guilt,we don't care about cleaning as long as you're improving. But it is good you feel able to do a bit, just not to much !!!
Hi Allie,I bet you would love a walk on the beach with me,and maybe a little paddle up to you ankles.
Trysha,H & B do Lepicol, that's a powdered Psyllium,I tried it mixed in water but it's like wallpaper paste (which of course I always sample when we decorate)

Off for a walk into town then the hairdressers. It's a lush day,so might go for a cycle at the Marina this afternoon.Depends how I feel. Winning

Allie is beautiful and count me in - I'd certainly love to take a walk on the beach but I'd have to pass on anything tasting like wallpaper.

Hi Carol....Lepicol sounds just like Mucillium as prescribed by my GI.......I am going to ask him if he has ever tried it!!!
Have to take it though else it's big trouble...
Winning.....

Allie really would like a walk on the beach. She loves dipping her toes in water (as long as it's not for a bath ;))
Yesterday was not a good day flu and bronchitis wise (even had a fever again part of the day), but back to the regular scheduled recovery today. I'm sure tired of one thing after another.
But at least I got my oven cleaned yesterday (the cheaters/spoiled way :rof:).
I hope you are finding everything you need for your trip, Trysha. And no, Mandy, you can't have Allie. She owns me (not the other way around.)
(Doug's still recovering too.)

Aw no Sandy 😢oh well I guess the pictures will have to do...
Get better soon you two please thank you if you don't mind ☺
Hugs to all 💖💕

Well you've done it again Mandy !!! Caused the game to come to a standstill.

Have been for a cycle around the Marina, really enjoyed it.
I'm going to get a thingy that will tell me how far I've done.I used to have a pedometer that counted my steps. I used to walk 6ml a day when Alfie and me (I) were younger, but my back won't allow it now.

Winning,as no one else seems to want to......Thankyou all x

See I told you I had the power Carol 😁😁
I'm having trouble with my phone at the moment and I am mad, it is doing my already done in head in 😬
Should be sorted by tomorrow night, it better had or you will hear me shouting from where you are..
Love to you and your new thingy.. :rof:

Sorry to hear that Sandy, hurry up and feel better soon
Carol I emailed H&B and they do have the psyllium product identical to the one I use.
Thank you so much for the info....saves me dragging a big jar around...
Winning.....

Sandy, where on earth are all these bugs coming from ? You expect to pick up a few in warmer weather but not in mid-winter.
I have a vision of them circling around then saying "Oh look, there's Sandy, her immune system's shot to hell,so we might as well have another go at her"
Please feel better soon, and you Doug.Spring won't be long and you need to get out and enjoy it.

Yep, I feel like I have a target for anything medical that can get me, especially if it is strange or doesn't have a medical explanation. For example, years ago I had a spinal tap for some neurological testing, was told I had a one in ten chance getting what they call a spinal tap headache. Of course I got it. Then the usual "cure" didn't work, I had several "blood patch" treatments, literally my own blood being injected into the area where the spinal tap took place and was leaking spinal fluid. The chance of the first patch not working was again one in ten. Long story shortened somewhat, I ended up being a one in a million statistic having to be hospitalized before it was finally brought under control. The "joke" Doug and I have had for years is that if something unusual can go wrong with me, it will.
Feeling a lot better emotionally today, although I ended up with a horrible migraine last night just as I was going to bed. Every time I cough (a lot) my head pounds right now. It is weird, tho, I really feel a lot better emotionally. I would rather have today's predicament then yesterday's foul mood.
And yes, Carol, the sun is out and glorious today.

Aw Sandy hun !!. Your like me then if its going free we will have it 😆.
Love to you n hugs 💕
Trysh glad H&B can save you carting it half way round the world hun . 💕💋

Hi all, still waiting on results on copper tests. Livers still abnormal, so is osmolality, still having hypos and shakes. My CT scan is end of March to see if there is an insulinoma. Anyway, I'm still breathing in and out [emoji3]

Waiting for results can be very hard.
Good to see you are keeping your spirits up Kirstie....not easy.
Sorry you have to go through all that stress.
Feel better soon
Hugs Trysha

Quick win before we go to visit friends.See ya later.......

Hope the waiting goes fast and the results help figure out what is wrong so you can feel better soon. I used to respond "upright and breathing" when people inquired about my health. Several hospital stays have taught me not to be so flippant when responding.

Good Afternoon........Did you know that you lose enough dead skin cells in your lifetime to fill eight 5lb (2kg) flour bags ? I wonder if it's the same whether you're 6 stone or 30 stone ? And also who was interested enough to work it out ?
Aren't people amazing ? Taking the win and appreciate your amazement.

Amazing post Carol......thank you for this erudite information...so important to have this knowledge...
Who thought of doing it and why would someone pursue such a course of studies.....and how was the skin collected and from whom?
Hope nobody was flayed alive in the course of science!
Winning.....

The mind boggles.I think everyone is capable of a least one thought that could change the world. And then they turn over and go back to sleep and the eureka moment is forgotten. My bro-in-law,who was a lovable Jack the Lad,wheeler dealer type, had the idea of putting fish into skins, like sausage, and everybody thought he was mad. Many years later the Fish Finger was born. His motto used to be "One idea is worth a lifetime of work"
Winning,night night all x

I want my skin to come back with no wrinkles.
Kirsty, last time you said you were still "breathing in and out," Doug said "that tells you how Kirsty is doing. Not very well." Hope it all goes better, for all of you.
(Trysha, yesterday I accidentally left my purse while in my headachey state in a grocery cart, and by the time I got home and realized what had done, i was very panicked to put it mildly. Got back to the store where the store manager had it in a safe with every dollar, dime, card and used kleenex. Some honest person turned it in and it stayed safe through the whole ordeal.)

Oh!!Sandy glad you got it back safe n sound as it were. I left my debit card in the bus station travel shop when i went to get my bus pass for work. Realised when i got to work . Phoned the shop and it was there phew . Assistant spotted it and put it behind the counter. Old age n fuzzy brain ...😕
Thus the change to fuzzy butterfly.
Love to all 💕

It's good to hear of such positive experiences after my two negative ones
So glad for you Sandy and Mandy
I am getting very panicked right now over silly things that could be avoided..maybe my thyroid medication needs adjustment.....
I no longer carry a handbag but keep a small wallet containing only necessary cards and very little cash.
Today at the dentist I placed the smaller wallet in my slacks pocket from the inside coat pocket
I forgot what I did as I was leaving the office and panicked the staff as well as myself
Then I remembered it in my slacks....I feel so embarrassed.Have to do better.
I miss the handbag keeping things organized.
Kirsty....hope you are feeling better....
Winning...........(maybe)

Nice win Trysha. I paid my rent yesterday. Got to work went to get my card to pay for my lunch..no card😯.after a quick panic i had put in in my bills purse not my normal one . You are not alone 💕💕

Winning. Gotta run. I learned on "Mythbusters" yesterday that being slapped really can help you concentrate better after the slap, so slaps to all of you. (And me. ):lol2:

Well thats a good enough reason for me to slap quite a few people...😆😆😆😆lol. Im off on a concentration mission right how. 😃😃

Good to be able to activate LOW again....that was quite a while MIA....
Shows how much we take for granted.....until it's taken away...
Looks like we are about to receive a deluge of snow after a heat wave yesterday
Lovely picture Sandy...he looks so comfortable and I really liked your bugs bunny
Winning,......

Good afternoon.....did you know that Americans use 16,000 tons of aspirin a year ?

That's some bad headache !!!

Winning.

Could that be a Trumping headache?
Very cold out there...still debating whether to venture out...
Winning...

Good afternoon.....did you know that Americans use 16,000 tons of aspirin a year ?

Yes, all that aspirin is needed to deal with our current politics. The current candidates for upcoming presidential election are all one big headache. I just found out thru relativefinder.org that I am 10th cousin to Barak Obama. Aaarrrrggghh! Scary. (And Carol, Allie presented that belly in anticipation of you being around. She said thanks.)

So sorry Sandy. :ylol: Give Allie's belly a rub from me. She's adorable! I have an allergy to Aspirin/Ibuprofen. NSAIDS make me break out in hives and my throat swells shut. :hallo3:

Aye we did Carol. Now we can carry on winning ☺
Sandy im coming for Allie sorry but i just have to get my hands on that little cuteie.☺
Hope everyone is good today. Love n hugs 💕💕

I've sat here for 5 mins.trying to think of something worth while to say,but you'll have to make do with be well and be happy crohnie family.

Winning

Noble sentiments Carol.....who can best that
Things will liven up later
Looking forward to 10 -20cms of snow on the way...winters final? blast.....
Strong gusty winds..
Yesterday the wind blew bills out of my bag and I had to chase after them,,,,was on my way to the bank to pay them.it also blew me along and at one point lifted me off my feet...
an almost imitation of Mary Poppins sans umbrella.....great life if you don't weaken.
Today I will wear lead lined boots!!
Looks like a fun day..
Winning....so far...
