Not sure how to respond without getting myself into trouble, i will say, i dont make beds. Happy to do anything else.
 
Hi Trev, will you clean my basement and sort all of my storage?
Doug and I haven't had email notifications in weeks and weeks now (not just a couple weeks). I always just use the drop down list of subscribed threads. But I've been on people strike lately, ignoring all forums, emails, and most phone calls, but ready to come back because I could use a win.
Maybe I'll just sneak in Trysha's suitcase because I could use a vacation too.
I'm excited for you, tho, Trysha!

Last day of Scotts visit.As you can imagine,I'll be in bits tomorrow.We've has such a good time and I had forgotten how funny he can be.I will miss him dreadfully,but I'll be ok in a day or two.
I'm getting all my notifications via subscription,plus occcassional emails,which I haven't requested.......winning

That sounds exciting Madhu! We'll be lucky if we leave Utah this year, and go anywhere more exciting than camping. Is that trip just for fun?
Carol, I'm sure glad you finally got your visit with Scott. I know you had looked forward to that for a long time.
 
Hi Sandy, our families are there. India is our home :) They were helpless being far away when hubby was diagnosed and struggling. Now that he is in remission, we are all looking forward to the trip :)

Camping sounds so much fun! I'm so eager for the spring flowers. Personally hate the cold weather

Hmmm...I've heard of these 'holidays' and 'vacations'.I seem to have a distant memory of such things.So,coming to LOW isn't a holiday?

That's great. I'm sure you will have fun! I am going to South India. Chennai is the city's name. Its where my husband and I were born and we grew up there. Our families are still out there.

I can't imagine being separated that far from family. (Tho sometimes I would like to be, from some of them at least. My bad.) Seriously, living so far from your homeland must be difficult. I can only imagine how much you are looking forward to being back.
As to the camping, I used to really, really enjoy it, but it is getting harder each year, even with a trailer. I do love being out in nature though.

The Utahn's are feeling pretty proud of ourselfs right now. After all, for the first time in recorded history, we heard CNN refer to Utah as a "Crucial State" in the presidential elections last night. Woo Hoo!

Hi there, time for a win down under. Madhu, I've heard of Chennai, but mainly due to IPL cricket. Happy Easter everyone. I've just made a peach chutney today. Next week I have an MRI abdomen and anther neck ultrasound. I also have a wedding anniversary :) . Just getting over infection sinus, larynx and chest, hence why you haven't heard me for a while ;)
 
Glad to see you around Kirst, but you've got to quit finding new things to add to long list of health maladies. Congrats to you and Steve on your anniversary.

Oh wow, someone who knows IPL :) Our place in chennai is right opposite to the cricket stadium. I'm not a big fan but I watch important matches :p Good luck with the MRI and happy anniversary :)
 
I looked up Chennai on the Internet, and it sounds like a very interesting place. I'm going to have to add it to the places I would like to see some day.
Today was a weird, emotional day. Would you all hold my place in line for the win if I'm gone for a couple days? I'm not sure how much I'll be around the next couple days as a lot is going on. (I might be here but I might not. )

It's as if we're taking shifts keeping the win lately, rather than competing for the win. Hope things are well with all and you're off celebrating spring rather than dealing with any health issues.

to see the Easter festivities.It's just over the road,more or less,and cars are parked nose to tail on the road outside and in the surrounding area.I wouldn't care but it's cold,breezy and cloudy.Back later,but winning now.

The main reason for being here is serious illness in the family....one quite dire with newly diagnosed pancreatic cancer.....I am here for moral support and all the things we do as family.this news greeted me last Friday.very sad indeed.
Looking forward to some shopping and whatever recreation is available.

It was a lovely spring day today but no shopping since it's Easter
Can't wait to view the latest fashions.....may buy something from Debenhams or John Lewis
Have to wait for a driver of course.
Food tastes quite different but it is quite nice.
The security was at a very high level at the airport when we landed
Men in ordinary clothes carrying inconspicuous guns......others police in uniform with bullet proof vests...everyone very calm....a bit unnerving at times.
It was nice to have sunshine and no rain.

Just peeking in for a second. I'm sorry about the circumstances of your trip Trysha. I wondered how security would be in the airport with all the goings on of late. We had three Utahns seriously injured in the Belgium attacks, one of whom quite well known by a friend of many years son-in-law.
My dad passed away last Friday, but I was estranged from him and don't know quite how to take it. Although not a very nice man (to put it mildly), he was still my dad.

I talk too much. :(
 
So sorry Sandy. Tight hugs :( Irrespective of the indifferences you may have had, as you said, he was your dad. It is always tough to lose a parent.

Isn't it amazing just how strong we are,mentally that is.
None of us want to feel anguish or to grieve ,and in the small wee hours of night, we tell ourselves we couldn't or wouldn't cope in certain situations.I know I do.
But we always do cope somehow,and that old platitude,Life goes on,is certainly true.
Hugs to all who are having a sad time,and are struggling,and to the rest of you who are muddling through life in a daze...........I'm winning.

The English rain is prettier and more sparkly than ours although you do have a lot more of it
Such a quiet and peaceful day with the sun peeping out behind the rain clouds.
Good to sit and talk and reminisce....living in the olden days....covered a lot of history.

It was good. He wants to do another prometheus test to check remicade level. It was very high last time and he suspects that to be the reason for other issues (his back is full of acne and he catches a cold every 2 weeks). Other than that all looks well :)

I don't know if I caught his bug but both of us are sick now. Winter to spring transition never works well for us :(

Atleast I'm winning here ;)

Lovely flowers in the garden and breathtaking big birds,blackbirds with big yellow beaks and jackdaws with their grey hoods and a timeless pigeon.....
Yesterday was a sad day...my brother in law left us for the next world....I think he joined hands with Ronnie Corbett and they took off together.
Life goes on...

Hi, sympathies Trysha and Sandy. I've had my MRI and ultrasound. I've got apples on my tree in the garden. Tomorrow I will pick peaches and make some chutney. I'm not coping well with health and life, but seem to muddle through each day.

Your fruit trees sound lovely....how nice to be able to pick a fresh peach from the tree
When do you get results of the MRI and ultrasound.....hope it's all good.

Peach chutney sound delish.I've just made cheese scones,which were a disaster.I think it had something to do with the 0% milk,and the low fat butter.Oh,well at least I'm winning.
 
I think my Gi and Endo get results maybe by end of week. Then I have to wait for letter or appointment. I think I have another two weeks to wait on my copper retest results. It will be sorted soon.

As for Allie, I told Doug if she signed up here, that was his puppy so-to-speak, but she is kind of cute (not to mention a good friend).

I had a really bad start to the day ,but after 2 or 3 hrs I decided to make the effort to go for a cycle,as we had planned.Almost turned back,but gritted my teeth and really enjoyed it.It's a nice spring day,and new flowers are appearing daily.My knees are aching but cycling doesn't hurt my back,as walking does.

well it's a miserable grey day here.Going for a food shop,then having a lazy day.
Scott txd it's 38c where he's working today.He's been checking flights for a return visit.
He's always been home sick, but it must be doubly hard when you've just had a visit.
Back later for another win.
