Morning everyone! it's 5.30 am and I'm dragging myself to wake up. Today is GI appointment day for hubby. Hate early appointments :mad:
 
Okay, you've won long enough. Allie (the dog) is now getting the win as she was just diagnosed with most likely colitis. :( 😨
Over all, though, things are a little better here (emotionally, at least. )

It was good. He wants to do another prometheus test to check remicade level. It was very high last time and he suspects that to be the reason for other issues (his back is full of acne and he catches a cold every 2 weeks). Other than that all looks well :)

I don't know if I caught his bug but both of us are sick now. Winter to spring transition never works well for us :(

Such a lovely English spring day
Lovely flowers in the garden and breathtaking big birds,blackbirds with big yellow beaks and jackdaws with their grey hoods and a timeless pigeon.....
Yesterday was a sad day...my brother in law left us for the next world....I think he joined hands with Ronnie Corbett and they took off together.
Life goes on...

Hi, sympathies Trysha and Sandy. I've had my MRI and ultrasound. I've got apples on my tree in the garden. Tomorrow I will pick peaches and make some chutney. I'm not coping well with health and life, but seem to muddle through each day.

Your fruit trees sound lovely....how nice to be able to pick a fresh peach from the tree
When do you get results of the MRI and ultrasound.....hope it's all good.

Aw Kirsty,you must be really cheesed off sweetheart.It's not like you to admit you're struggling.Feel better soon........I'm not being flippant, but when I read you had apples on your tree,I thought it was the results of your MRI & Ultrasound.hahaha.

Peach chutney sound delish.I've just made cheese scones,which were a disaster.I think it had something to do with the 0% milk,and the low fat butter.Oh,well at least I'm winning.
 
I think my Gi and Endo get results maybe by end of week. Then I have to wait for letter or appointment. I think I have another two weeks to wait on my copper retest results. It will be sorted soon.

I too thought the apples was associated with the scans at first read...im as bad as Carol lol😃

As for Allie, I told Doug if she signed up here, that was his puppy so-to-speak, but she is kind of cute (not to mention a good friend).

I had a really bad start to the day ,but after 2 or 3 hrs I decided to make the effort to go for a cycle,as we had planned.Almost turned back,but gritted my teeth and really enjoyed it.It's a nice spring day,and new flowers are appearing daily.My knees are aching but cycling doesn't hurt my back,as walking does.

well it's a miserable grey day here.Going for a food shop,then having a lazy day.
Scott txd it's 38c where he's working today.He's been checking flights for a return visit.
He's always been home sick, but it must be doubly hard when you've just had a visit.
Back later for another win.

@Madhu, I wish you felt better. Here's the only birthday cake I could get to you, but I hope your birthday turns out great and this is your best year ever nonetheless.

Took my mother to the doctor today, he did some cognitive testing, and she is showing some definite signs of some dementia. :( 😨 (I really already knew that, but it is nice to get it on record for any services she will need in the future. Just hard to see my Mom struggling so much.)
Good luck, Doug, you deserve a good raise. I also know you know more than most of the supervisors there and you are good and fair when working with other people. If they don't choose you, it is their loss, big time.

(Doug really would have been perfect for that position, but we are dealing with the government here. The good thing is, he will be able to stay at his current office instead of having to commute to Salt Lake every day. If he took the commuter train, that could have added an hour each direction.)

Today is a gorgeous day, I've done my chores, I'm feeling semi decent and have time left to play. That doesn't happen very much. I might get my craft tools out.

I had a tumble on / off my bike today.No sympathy please,all of you,I'm a toughie.
On top of that,we got caught in a heavy shower.hahaha.
But it won't put me off cycling.Les told me off because I was going too fast,but I took the corner to fast,that was all.Last weeks bruises are now a sickly yellow,so I'll have some fresh ones to add to the collection. Winning heroically.!!!

Hope you had a great weekend Kirsty. Getting away is fun but coming home also feels good. Not so windy today but it's definitely not warm enough to do anything outdoors yet. Not too disappointing today as I just don't feel up to doing anything anyways.

Hi everyone. Poking my head in after a while. Been a sick lamb the last week with allergies. Seeing an allergist today. God bless America, where you can't see a doctor during the weekend :(
 
It's the same in the UK Madhu,also you have to decide whether or not you're still going to be sick in two weeks time,which is the usual time we wait for an appt. with a GP.

I win. I have two medical appointments this week (if you count dental), possibly three if I make another one I really should (but sick of doctors). However, we are blessed here and can get into a walk-in clinic up until nine at night five days a week and half a day Saturday if we don't care which doctor we see and just need a general practitioner. Slightly more costly, but insurance covers most.
 
Oh waiting times are the pits. My poor mum is waiting for a scan at the mo. She has real bad pain in her back n leg. At 74 waiting aint her best assett 😐. I dont blame her tho i hate waiting. Im am do it now kinda gal... what ever it is that needs doing get it done n outa the way...

Waiting tests the patience I seem to have a shortage of. Frustration and a short fused temper...now that I have plenty. Had a dental appt last week. Cleaning and checkup were fine. Until closer exam finds one lower tooth is cracked. Ughhhh. Betting it'll be a crown vs a filling. Feel better Madhu. Sandy, too peopley is perfect!!
 
Tooth fairy must be lurking on this thread, I need to to to dentist too. Got my copper results back. Serum was low. Copper carrying protein borderline low, and urine copper low too. Just got to wait to hear from neuro and Endo to see what happens next...
 
YAY, no cavaties or significant problems. Just a long overdue checkup, cleaning and fluoride treatment, and covering some exposed dentin to decrease sensitivity in one area. I can drink cold drinks again. :)
Keep us apprised K, what they can do for you.
 
Thanks everyone. Apparently I have chronic urticaria. Hives come and go as they please for no reason. Hubby and I are not even 30 yrs old yet and we make a great chronic team :D

Oh so true. I use to take 2 stairs all the time. Haven't done that in years. 2 (or more) pills at a time....... all the time. :stinks:
