My meals are only clear fluids and it is difficult to get them down
Now minus a large piece of the left colon....better out than in
The surgeon was great well the whole team was in fact
Best part of all the lovely and very competent nurses most important to recovery
Getting better is the hardest but progressing and hopefully home at weekend
So...I ...am...
Winning......

Hi Trysha, glad all has gone well hun. It's good to see you are feeling up to posting, letting us know how it went n how you are .
wishing you a speedy recovery, you take good care of youself ,get pleny of rest now..best wishes n get well soon xx

Great to hear from you Trysha, good luck post surgery and I hope you heal well and pain is manageable or well medicated!

So far just an indication that my dopamine and noradrenaline are high, my urine is too strong, my sodium is low. My platelets are still high as are my ALT. that's it folks! Still got more tests to go...

Morning all......Whatever you're doing do it right and enjoy it,otherwise it's pointless.

Trysha Happy to see you back, hope the worst is over,:rosette2::rosette2::rosette2:

Semi colon....that's cute Dave, I'm not sure if anyone caught it because your question mark was on top of it. Trysha I hope that you feel better quickly and that you heal well without complications.

Getting off for a pit stop. I've got to go take my meds before my nap I feel coming on happens. Life in the slow lane. I'll just enjoy the scenery.

buzzin along on my moped , love to all as i trundle the slow lane, but i'll get there !! get the drinks in haha ...

Omega you mean like a mustang? I like MG, triumph spitfire he he he I love sports cars.
Shanen my back pain comes from an old skiing accident to compacted sacrum. I also get an achy back higher up, but it could all be related [emoji2]

up super early for a win , Shanen my back is about the only place i don't ache (yet), but as Kirsty says it may well be related, maybe check with your doc, incase it maybe some other reason x

Here for another win, I need one, life is throwing curve balls at me. For my win, i would like a yellow mustang convertible, thank you very much. (And my back aches all the time, but it has nothing to do with crohn's -- I don't think -- and yes, I'm whining Carol. )

Hey Sandy, a bat to hit those curve balls away is in the post, the yellow mustang is on order, so bear with !!!
A whinge is complusory now n then hun so knock yourself out there kid (the bat may come in handy ) :lol2:

Aw, thanks Mandy, but it seems all I do lately is whine. But i very much appreciate the bat, and the Mustang convertible, down to the yellow color, has been a dream of mine for many years.

hey no probs hun, i'll make a promise that if i win the lottery the mustangs yours, shipped to your door with bell's n bow's on kid :). As i said a good whine does need to be done some times, n sometimes more than other's.. you know where i am if you want a good whine, i have big ears , they dont call me dumbo for nothing,(least i think it's my ears they mean ??) x

You do have good listening ears, but they look like they fit your head just fine, and there is nothing else to compare you to Dumbo with. Perhaps you should be called "Happy," like one of the seven dwarves.

I would also take an MG triumph spitfire in lieu of the Mustang, you don't see those around here too much.

Haha is there a dwarf called dopey, i think there is , I should maybe happydopeydumbo dwarf
oh go on then you can have an MG too !!
anybody else want to add to the wish list for when i win the lottery, im not tight with money so i will share with all :ghug: i beleive in spreading the love

I mean the MG instead of the Mustang. But what do you want if I should win the lottery (which we don't have in Utah, one of the seven states which don't and I believe only one of two without some form of legalized gambling):rof:

You'll have to wait for my unknown rich uncle to die

:lol2: I knew you meant instead but i thought you should have both as you deseve to, me i would like a ticket to come visit you n see the beautiful place you live, i cant get the pics i googled outa my head ..
how odd that some states have no gambling, while others do maybe it's not a bad thing tho ,gets so many people in to trouble ...

As soon as i have enough money, I'll send a ticket to all of you who would like to come.:thumright:

:rosette1: here's to all our hope's,dream's n wishes coming true ..

It's all I own.

Anybody else experience lower back pain related to Crohn's? As if I need another side effect.

Winning. Again. :thumright:

I have chronic lower back pain which began around the time crohns was dx'd.It has gotten gradually worse over the years but not sure if it's crohns or age related. But it's always there.Tramadol and amitryptilyne help a bit.

When your going through Hell, you just have to keep going.:thumright:

I went out for dinner and wondered why I couldn't sleep. But I forgot to take my night meds only 5 but 3 of them make me sleepy. So I'm taking them now.

I was hoping I'd slept wrong but abscess is always in the back of my mind. Happened once and it's not something I'm likely to forget.

I always wanted a pony when I was growing up. Then I wanted a candy apple red Mustang when I could drive. Ended up with a Ford Pinto.

im not worrying, even tho my seh ct scan results came today and i have severe bile salts malabsorbtion ..yeah another tablet to take whoopie folks , the drnks are on me !!!

I'm sorry Mandy! Hopefully you'll feel better with another med though. Hugs!

Ta Sandy, i kinda knew that mjght be the case, as my gastro thought i may suffer from that after surgery in particular, but never mind it's all in a day's work for us crohnies . ye hopefuly it may make me feel less tired, n may put some weight on :ylol:: :

Hi everybody ...thank you all so much for all the good wishes it really helps
I especially like Dave's semicolon ; ; ;

Getting back is a bit of a struggle and unfortunately I have developed two incision infection
One either side of the abdomen..G r e a t,,, just what we need.
But I am slowly recovering and feel a bit better tonight.

Trysha

Glad to have you back Trysha and Trev. We're a family again !!!

Not much happening here.Hubby's cleaning the big fish tank. You wouldn't believe the amount of gear they have.

Here's a thought (or achievement) for the day: You'll never embarrass yourself if you don't TRY !!! Hahaha.

I'm here to win for Michelle, my friend of 42 years who is in a coma and on life support with blood clots in her lungs and heart and bleeding somewhere unknown internally right now:ywow:. Excuse me folks if my mind is stuck elsewhere at present. I wish you all continued healing and improved health.

Evening all, I'll add my happiness to having you back Trev glad you're home and hope that you heal quickly. Sandy so sorry for your friend and my prayers are with you. Happy thoughts for everyone else. Winning!

Hi Sandy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your friend, God bless you all xx

Winning. My friend is still hanging in there, which they did not expect her to be at this point, so that is good. It is going to take a lot of "baby steps" like this to get her back. She is still in a coma, still on life support including dialysis, but stable at the moment.
Thanks to all of you for your friendship, it makes the hard times like this bearable.
So I'm winning.

Joining Sandy in the diabetes diagnosis. Looks like I will be put on Glucophage in a couple of weeks.

Don't feel like being jolly today,it's not really appropriate with so much sickness and sadness........but it won't stop me winning of course.

Shoulder surgery for husband tomorrow and funeral for young family member Friday. Not the best week on this side of the pond either. So I'll take a win while I'm waiting for this week to be finished.

I just can't sleep tonight. So annoying.

I thought you were sleepy hours ago ???
Have you at least had a nap ?
Can you take a sleeping pill or would that interfere with your other meds ?
I'm a very light sleeper and the least thing starts all sorts of daft thoughts going through my mind,it's awful as you well know.
But because of my back probs, and arthritis, on top of the other stuff,I was feeling a bit sorry for myself one day,and the Doc. put me on Amitrityline and I sleep like a baby.

I hope you at least have a little sleep in the arvo.

5:30 am surgery appt for hubby. Oh the joys of waiting rooms.

How are you doing Sandy? Is your friend still holding her own?

Yes we are there now!
Sorry I had to disappear for a few minutes and then just pop right back in. Shannon dear, I hope all goes very well for your husband and that both of you go through this time with much more ease than you anticipate. To answer your question, I have been waiting anxiously to hear about my friend and how she is doing, but the arrangements we made to get updates seem to be kind of fizzling out because family is so overwhelmed with everything. I am assuming no news is good news. I am a lot more peaceful myself though.

Hope things work out OK. Outta here.

Hi guys, things are improving daily, wish they would hurry up. Also wish I could wear pants. Some of you may call them trousers, had to clear that up. I have lost the days, crohns brain. Take care guys, good luck to your hubby Shannon for his op.
Winning very slowly.
