Well its been a busy day today on here while i slogged my guts out (whats left of them ) at work lol. be happy peeps be good n behave n stop fighting among yourselves haha. ;)
 
This rehab Ward reintroduces how to launder with the machines in a room actually on the Ward
There is also an equipped kitchen where you relearn cooking skills and how to resume life in the real world you can chose what it is you want to cook and given all the ingredients fresh
To start off with
All done by the occupational therapists
I am not yet at that stage since I have to be signed off by the surgeons first
I did start walking today though with two physios.one walks behind with the wheel chair
To catch you before you fall
I have to relearn walking without losing balance
...not easy...yet
I am dying to get out of here though.

Trysha,I find walking without losing my balance trickier as the years go by.I wish you quick progress.You could mess with the physio with the wheelchair behind you.You could sway one way and then the other,keep him/her on their toes.Not that I would do such a thing.Hope you are out soon...and I mean discharged,not escaped.:ybiggrin:

Thanks for the advice Dave.....I only fall one way and there are two catchers
When I do this its straight back to bed so no thanks,
I do have a lovely room but I have a less steril one waiting for me at home
Can't wait even though you could not ask for better care anywhere and always smiling faces to greet you,fantastic food but can't always eat it...my fault
So lucky in many ways
Could do without the infection though
I want to go home!!

No more IVs right now...free from all entanglements...drips and other delightful sundry entanglements.........onwards and upwards and out the door

Hi can't remember when I last posted. But looks like I will still be having more tests. They trying to confirm or not SIADH, plus figure out my hypos still since I had one while fasting in hospital. Still waiting on more results from my flushing. Just did my humira jab. So pj day tomorrow.

Hi all, I have had a new super hub fitted yesterday (wifi issues)and only just had time to reset my net book ...
So Im here to say Im sending everyone love, support, get well hugs, kisses n best wishes. Keep as well as you can folks n you are always in my prayers each day.

Good Morning Crohnies.........Isn't it great that we can whinge to each other.

What I mean is,our "real" peeps get it easier.Like most of you on here,I don't know how I would have coped without this amazing forum.
I mean,who else cares how many time we've been to the bathroom today ???

Aura I have a Facebook page for Crohn's and Colitis from South Africa and the leader mentioned something about rugby.
 
We've recorded it as it's 3:20 am here and I'd fall asleep half way thru the game.
 
Quick win.....I just bought the latest Bill Bryson book.It's not the one I was excited about during the week.I'll get that one soon as I see it (John Connolly,any one read his books?)
Bryson is hilarious,but I've got about 100 pages of my present book to finish.....So farewell for now.If I read all the books I've got stacked up waiting,and don't come on the forum 'til they're done,I probably wouldn't be able to post for two years +.
Just say if you can manage without me.I won't be offended...much !!! winning

I think every book that was ever in print was on sale.But far to many people,pushing and shoving.I'm only little and I haven't been very well ,hahaha
Next time I'm going to take a hat pin and jab them with it.
Didn't buy any, although a few caught my eye.But guess what ? I'd already read them.

just released a mouse that took it upon itself to move in uninvited, so im winning,, mamogram was ok not to sore phew !! was he now carol interesting one that , i say chuck me in a bin bag n throw me on the compost heap, might as well be useful at some point :) lol

Still having a sojourn in hospital
The nights are so long....come to think of it so are the days.....
At least I was taken to the gym am and pm today
Looks like a long stay till I can walk independently again
Due to a resurgeonce of symptoms from a brain injury in 2009...... Who'd have thunk it
I just think I could do better at home...........can't because I live alone among other considerations.
The surgery is still healing up from the infections so that's good....meantime.....

Hi everybody. I hope everyone is doing OK. Trysha, sorry to hear about the MSRA. Hang in there and you will be home before you know it.
 
Just thought I would let you know what is going on with me. (Carol already knows.) Yesterday I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. If it's not one thing it's 10 others.
With everything else going on with Sandy and I, I don't know how much more we can take.
 
I hear you Doug, sorry to hear you've got diabetes 2. Some days it just ain't easy. I managed for 8 years on a combination of a low GI diet for diabetes and Fodmap for crohns. You and a sandy are in my thoughts.

I know it's been said before, but I sure wish everyone here could just get well. Trysha, I really wish your body would heal enough that you could get out of the hospital. Walking is important though, especially when you have to take care of yourself. But I also know how old that place gets, and seemingly endless when there. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Your cheerleaders made me smile Carol. :) Talk to you all later. :ghug:
 
I get very tired very quickly. We had dinner, played logo board game, watched 30 mins tv. Played barbie, cindy and daisy dolls.
 
I'm at a loss as to how to reply to that K., so I'll just say better you than me and leave it at that. Is she asleep now or has she gone home ?
