How long 'til your move ? You have sooooo much going on just now,I'm nearly tempted to offer to have the Festivities at our place.
Don't all get excited,I did say "nearly".
 
Oh so excited im going to be a grandma (well nanna). 😆😃When did i get so OLD!!!
my son is having a baby(well his good lady is!!) due in june. Had 1st scan today . All seems well. 😃

Carol we move in two days. Only have one more night in this place. So it's chaos here, I can't wait until it's over!

12hours to go....and then to feel cold fresh air in my face momentarily when I climb into the car which will take me to home again...
Such a long day today and so many assessments I was holding my breath in case I flunked
So many people involved in the decision to allow me home...unbelievable
Physios,Ots,social workers,doctors nurses pharmacist home care coordinator ....Uncle Tom cobleigh and all........
I was worn out by the time they finished.....it was all one at a time,dribs and drabs
When I get home I will do my own thing...have to tolerate the physio but I don't need it at home as well as going to outpatient physiotherapy.....managed to shake off the occupational therapist.....I do my own cooking and housekeeping for goodness sake.
They don't listen to me though....what do patients know after all?........

Home at last with dozens of pages of instructions.....
Feels so good....no non stop call bells ...no intrusions
Had to agree to home care physio till there's a place at the hospital physio programme
Shouldn't be too long before I regain total independence.
Kirsty...take it easy...
A big thank you to everyone for all the concern and moral support...it really helped to get through each day.
I was taken for a walk along the beach today....very nice but a bit tiring
Now I have a big schedule of doctors appointments for follow up.....surgeon,GI,GP
and dental specialist for teeth implants...halfway there already

This time tomorrow I will be doing my humira jab in our new home. I'm sooooo tired I just want to cry. But it will soon be over.

Oh, I CAN waggle needles around and make some semblance of recognisable
garment,but you wouldn't want your grandchild wearing it,trust me.
 
I hope all is well with Kirst and Trysha.
I'm sick today, nauseated. Thank goodness foster son not going with us, found out he was just trying to manipulate where he wanted to go the most. His mother did not uninvite him. The stinker. I should be flattered her likes to be with us, but I'm a little too ticked at him right now.
Hope everyone who celebrates thanksgiving is having a good day. I do believe Thanksgiving is good for the soul, even if I'm grumbling. Actually, i just hope everyone is having a good day.

Did not have a good day health wise, but blessed with good family members who took good care of me and let me nap after dinner. Tomorrow I have to prove to driver's license division I'm still capable of driving with all my health problems with both a written and driving test. I haven't taken these tests since I first got my license years ago. The Utah driver's "handbook" is four times the size it used to be, and the current edition written very poorly (about 150 pages, magazine size). I hope I've learned enough with reading it just once. Wish me luck on that one.
 
Happy Thanksgiving to those that have it. I'm thankful for being in the small new house. I'm sitting on the front porch watching the rain.

Having a "poorly" day today,so just sitting around being lazy.
But why oh why am I noticing the "little" things that need doing ?
I'm really not complaining though,as a friend had 90% of his stomach removed on Wednesday,due to cancer.He's still in High dependency ward,but doing "OK"
 
I'm sorry to hear about your friend's cancer, Carol, hopefully he will improve quickly. I'm still feeling poorly myself, but have to go take those darned driving tests. I'm hoping I don't need a bathroom right in the middle of everything. Sorry I'm being such a grouch. I will be back later, however, for my final win. :biggrin:

Hi all, the champs here !!! Having been a bit "off" lately I decided that instead of waiting to see how I feel tomorrow,I made an apt. to see the Doc.My usual GP is not in next week and the earliest apt.is for NEXT Wednesday,with a stranger.Of course I might feel better by then,but I will go none the less.I think I'm in a flare so don't want to take chances.

Be good or run fast.

I can't win, not feeling too well either.😩 I feel like I just move from one malady to another. I'm glad I have the option of a "walk in clinic" so I can get treated for a UTI today, instead of next week, (never sure what doc will end up with that way), but also still suffering from nausea, only some foods sound half way good, and list is getting shorter. Wish my stomach would shrink with my weight. Want to know where the water I drink is going also (besides my stomach). Gripe over, for now.

I am in the same position as you since my GP is away...but I have so many specialist appointments that I can't fit him in till January 5.........so sad!! Too bad ,,,,,,
My follow up appointment with the GI is next Monday....by far the most important.

I am doing really well right now but get tired very easily....glad to be in my own bad but still hard to sleep properly....good to be a free spirit though.
Quite a few appointments with physio,OTs and recreational therapists to get me used to the real world again.Rather tiring though all these appointments.

Snap on 5 jan Trysha that's my endocrinologist apt. Day. On Monday I'm back at hospital for fasting and hypo test. And more blood tests. This time they have an exercise machine for me instead on walking and doing stairs. Oh what joy!

GI scheduled another MRE. Best to get it in by the end of my insurance year. What a sad lot we are some days. Good not to be alone. :)
